I'm gonna go up the shops in a sec to see if they have 'Charley Says vol2' the public information thing. I bought vol 1 a couple of years ago for 6.99 so I hope it's around about the same price in HMV

Bought two suits at 60 euro each. Store was having 40-70% off.
There was no way I was going to spend more on the suit than I would be earning by wearing it.

I shopped for undies on the weekend. It took time to find what I wanted--stuff that wasn't two-tone lace or that didn't rhinestone-stud the words "Pink!" or "HOT!" across the ass; nothing that was furry.
One line of undies had empowering slogans embroidered on the waistbands: "Let yourself dream!" or "See, live, laugh, love!" "Release the beauty in you!" Stuff like that.
When I did find what I wanted and in the right sizes and colors--no geometric patterns--I expected to pay $58 and wound up paying $21. Coupons, some discount that the associate applied, extra reduction for using credit. Nice.

I remember Roy of the Rovers but I didn't know there was an accompanying bar. Talking of which, I couldn't get my hands on an Irn Bru bar. I'll keep trying.

what's this? did someone say irn-bru bar? does someone want some?
i have long talked in days gone by about ye irn bru bar, being in glasgow n all.. are in in scotland? i can help you get it.
although i was talking with my flatmate t'other day and she has recognised that you never see them in the shops any more, not even dodgy corner shops. i would try woolworths tho cos they always have odd sweets. saying that i think they might have been taken off the market as they were basically just pure, orange sugar.
as for bargains, i don't really buy any designer stuff to notice a deal.
makeup however, i got a laura mercier blush book on the cheap recently.
and rub rabbits for the ds for 18 quid in ebay off some journalist.

i could perhaps seek out some irn-bru goodness for you if you desire.
there's a restaurant in the west end of glasgow called the bothy that does irn-bru sorbet, imagine that!
as a drink i have gone off it a bit since it was such a hangover cure for such a long time [with a greggs sausage roll] that now it just tastes of vodka. orange vodka.

Irn Brus sorbet- ggggghtirhhhhhhhhhhhwwwwwatrrrrrr.
Onamatapeia's a wonderful thing- come up with a better word to describe a pang for Irn Bru sorbet.
Coming from Oldham, I live off Greggs sausage rolls and am 2/3rds Meat 'n' Tater Pasty.

haha what you talkin' about peachy, i live in the west end of glasgow and regularly shop in marks and spencers, i couldn't be more middle class.
[actually, half of that is a lie - the m&s part - i hate people who do their weekly shop there just cos they can, bah. jealous much?]

i go to marks weekly to get a few bits here and there and for when i'm cooking dinner for my friends, but it is expensive and the quality of some of their foods aren't up to scratch. not only that, my local marks is on the small size so there isn't much choice so i normally buy my bulk shopping at sainsbury's or tesco's.
some people would only buy from somewhere like Waitrose even when they can't afford it
i only go there once in a while for friends/partner, too. mostly when i can't be arsed creating a meal from scratch. m&s simply food stores are like high class convenience food meccas. i like their gastropub stuff and they do mean [and actually quite cheap] bottles of fizzly kir royale and.. stuff.
i do my bulk shop in asda when i have a car, tesco if not.
sainsbury's is still a bit out there and too pricey for me though.
actually, i rarely do "big" shops.. it is only little old me, after all, so normally i grab something to keep me going for 2/3 days from our local.. somerfield!
wow. that's a shop lowdown and a half!

once in a while luxury shopping people, not your local "pint of milk" store!

saying that, waitrose did the wee cute packed lunches the people who won tickets to go to party at the palace for the golden jubilee and i loved them! it came with a small bottle of champagne and some weird coronation-chicked-but-not-cos-they-created-a-new-chicken-flavour-for-the-jubilee sarnie. i loved it!
if it's good enough for the QUEEN!..
peachy: ha! maybe that is the difference between glasgow middle class and london middle class. prams, milk choice, and newspapers. that's it. all y'all sociology bitches can give up now, we've got a formula in the beasties board!
