For Sure!!!! And I dont know about you but I think all RATM's Renegades Tracks are better than the original (except the original version of Kick Out The Jams cause both are at the same level)

EDIT: actually I forgot How I Could Just Kill A Man. RATM's cover is as good as Cypress Hill original version.

it's about fucking time you bought the cd tzar!

fuck the most embarrassing thing happened the other day. I was at a friends house and he was just playing mp3's on shuffle. Then this song came on and i was like " what's this?" Everyone just looked with shock and my mate was like "IT'S RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE!!!!"

It was the normal version of how i could just kill a man. I was too use to hearing the live version that i completely fucked up. I was ashamed to call myslef a RATM fan :(

Warrants first album came out in September 1990. Doesnt that make them crap?

Wiki says: (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Warrant_%28American_band%29)

"Warrant was formed in Los Angeles by guitarist Erik Turner in July 1984...

"In January 1988 Warrant signed a contract with Columbia Records, and in April they began recording their debut album Dirty Rotten Filthy Stinking Rich. The record veered between sleaze and sentimentality, but was held together throughout by a strong sense of melody. It was a significant success, spawning 3 hits: the #2 power ballads "Heaven" and "Sometimes She Cries", and the rock anthem "Down Boys".

"The band's second record, the sexually-charged Cherry Pie, was released in March 1990, and featured guest appearances by Poison's C.C. DeVille, Danger Danger's Bruno Ravel and Steve West, and Fiona. The album, which spawned the hits "Cherry Pie", "Uncle Tom's Cabin" and "I Saw Red", reached the Top Ten in the United States, and went on to sell 3 million copies. The record's title track, only included on the album as a result of record company pressure, received strong exposure on MTV became the band's most successful single."

Let's review: Formed in 84, first CD in 88 and they became notable at that very point.

Wham, bam, thank you ma'am.

Tzar
07-16-2005, 02:18 AM
"There are four variations on the cover as some are green and black as well as blue and black with the colors inverted. the first pressing of Renegades contains two live Hidden tracks, 'How I Could Just Kill A Man' (feat Cypress Hill) and 'Kick Out the Jams'."

fair enough - hairy muff

when i copied the music to my pc, the bonus tracks aren't named. they only labelled "untitled". just saying.

Back the heck up... did you just say that these arse-cajolers mangled up "Kick out the Jams"? Goddamned ratm... so aware of their own inadequacy that they opt to befoul a classic.

Cunts, they are. Cunts.

Liston to the real MC5, motherfuckers! Pick up their 1971 album, "High Time," for some real crazyness, as oppossed to the vagrant parody dispensed by this odious new band.

And you flunked elementary school, as shown by the idiocy above. The problem is exacerbated by all that new music, which further degenerates any potential brain development.

Once you go beyond the 6th grade and stop listening to detrimental new smut, your arguments might have actually receive some credibility.

Sandinista, stop trying to sound intelligent. And clear this to me: you only like Licensed To Ill and Paul's Boutique cause they were released pre-89, or you like all Beasties albums cause they have created the band pre-89? I'm really confused.

One more thing: How old are you? Something around 50, 60 years old?

All Beasties releases are relevant due to the fact that they were made by a pre-89 band that was clearly of note during the pre-89 period.

Take a damn guess, slick. While you're at it, listen to some Stray Cats.

sandinista = 50, 60 years old!? pahah! he wishes :p

in other news: i picked up Battle of LA today for $14AUD. i was about to buy it for $27AUD but i then saw it in the "bargain bin". i also bought Steal this Album for the same price. and i also bought the 'root down ep' for $17AUD.

so that's 3 cd's for less than $49AUD. if i bought Battle and Steal off the shelf - that'd be more than $50.

not bad, lah

Indeed I do wish that; then I would've actually been there when pre-89 music was simply "music." Oh well.

The best music, in terms of intellectual development, is classical music. Do you regularly listen to this? Insulting somebodies intelligence based on the music they listen to is weak, especially when its such a wide genre of music as anything after 1989. I know this guy Junker is pretty much stalking you on the board and insulting you at every chance, but just ignore his shit, discuss pre 89 bands and leave post 89 bands alone, because we already know your opinion.

I am saying this because I actually enjoy reading your input on many issues...yet I find myself skipping your posts because you so often type useless, boring rhetoric.

PS Glad to see you added INXS to your myspace favourite bands during your hiatus (y)
