I think I'll probably be there. Anyone else in the DC Metro area going? D_Raay?

Dear MoveOn member,
You're invited to come speak out against Karl Rove's abuse of power and demand that President Bush fire Rove. Join other MoveOn members and members of the community at a peaceful protest and picket, Thursday July 14, at 2:30 PM on Pennsylvania Avenue outside The White House.

Rove betrayed the identity of an undercover CIA operative forcing her to end a decade of important national security work. He did it to protect the Bush political agenda. Now, the White House is covering up this betrayal of our national security. The media is ready to report on public outrage about Rove. Will you show up and speak out?

Please join us tomorrow and let Bush, the media and Congress know that Americans are angry about Rove.

What: Protest and Picket to Demand Bush Fire Karl Rove

Where: The White House, Pennsylvania Avenue
Washington, DC (Metro: Farragut West or McPherson Square)

When: 2:30 PM :: Thursday, July 14, 2005 (rain or shine)

Signs will be provided.

I'll see you there. Thanks for all you do.

At least you're looking to take SOME action, misguided as it may be. I totally disagree with you, but I do admire your gumption!

Why not, at this rally, also try to convey some POSITIVE things you would implement to make this country "better." Formulate some IDEAS and present them to the American people. Don't JUST tear apart others - advocate something "better" as an alternative....do your research and ATTRACT people to your cause. :)

Good luck and be safe if you go...

Well, I will be there sam, and you can be sure I will give any ideas up that I have if I am afforded the opportunity.

I truly wish you both safety.

I will reiterate that I think you're wrong, but that's just my opinion. I hope Rove didn't do what he's accused of, but if he did, he deserves public justice...

It beats sitting on your fat Republican asses complaining about liberals on the internet.

And Gore was elected. Bush was appointed. And 2004, there's still no doubt in my mind that the machines were corrupted. We've gone over the exit polls (90+% effective) versus the results, and the probability of that occuring, and the fact that Diebold said they'd do anything to get Bush elected. But I don't expect you to pull your head outta your ass anytime soon and wake up to what's REALLY going on around you. ;)

You are full of it, Gore was not elected. Bush was elected. Recount after recount has prove it.

Get off it you retarded liberals. You lost in 00 and 04. If you want to win in 08 you better start telling the truth. Exit polls are not effective. They were not in 04 or 00. Exit polls are scued.

If exit polls are not effective, how come they're used as backup voting in some countries? Hmm? They're 90+% effective, you fucktard. God, your ignorance astounds me. I don't know why it should anymore. And the part that really bothers me, is that you seriously don't think you're retarded. I'm pretty sure even kids with Downs Syndrome know that something's "special" about them. Oh well, that's Republitards for you.

BUSH WAS NOT ELECTED, HE WAS APPOINTED. Look it up. And Gore won the majority of the country, and the "recounts" you speak of were conducted by Kathleen Harris, who worked for Bush. So yeah, say that I was in charge of the recount and I'm working for Gore's campaign it just so happens that Gore came out the winner (by about 400 votes, in highly Republican areas), would you be suspicious? I bet you would be. But you're not, because when it's the other way around Republicans are the ones who have won, you don't ask. Because you got what you want.

I don't even know why I reply to you anymore. I know I'm right, I know that you're a brainwashed redneck retard, that's enough for me.

Sure, go read The Hill. The Hill is a non-partisan, non-ideological weekly newspaper covering Congress and its members:

http://www.thehill.com/morris/110404.aspx

And get over the whole "Bush won" thing. Yes, he got the electoral votes thanks to strings being pulled by Ms. Harris, but the fact remains that 51% of America FUCKING HATED HIM. So is that really "winning"? When majority of the country wanted the other guy?

It's ridiculous to "rub" that victory in liberal's faces, because it's not really a win at all.

PS Did you even read your link?
Study reveals flaws in ballots, voter errors may have cost Gore victory

John Ferguson: The view of the political situation from a decidedly conservative viewpoint. I discuss political policies, candidates for office, and political and social movements in the US.

That's right, DECIDEDLY CONSERVATIVE VIEWPOINT. You're a fucking idiot. You post only biased links, and it even SAYS they're biased, and you pass it off as truth. You are such an idiot.

Did you get your info from scued exit polling? (Ha Ha Ha)

The article I posted has plenty of info that supports both sides.

First off, you fucktard, it's spelled SKEWED. And you're an idiot. Exit polling is not skewed. Some people believe that in this election the exit polls were skewed, but that doesn't explain why ONLY the exit polls in ELECTRONIC VOTING MACHINE states were skewed. All the paper ballots synched up almost perfectly.

Care to explain that, dumbass?

Hope you don't mind if I chime in here.

First of all, saw the protest on CNN and Fox News. They both gave you guys a pretty fair shake. No frothing at the mouth or completely ridiculous sounding off.

Looks like it was a well-organized event but that Rove is going to be exonerated. Sorry you guys didn't get what you wanted.

Next, as to the 2000 and 2004 votes, there is still obviously a lot of emotion over those elections. The Electoral College really put a crimp in both Gore's and Kerry's chances. The population shifts to the West, Southeast, and SOuthwest states is only going to make it more and more difficult for Democrats to get elected (or "selected" if it comes to that...LOL).

Even here in Nevada, we are growing so fast, and the population tends toward the conservative, we will probably have 2-3 more electoral votes after the next census. Same with Utah, Arizona, etc. The dependably Liberal states in the Northeast, Middle Atlantic, and Upper Midwest (it's not called the "Rust Belt" for nothing!) are LOSING population or growing so slowly that they are LOSING electoral votes to those other parts of the country.

What does this mean? Well, even with a weaker Republican candidate, we have the Electoral advantage in 2008, which will only be magnified further (if population shifts continue as expected) in 2012. Republican majorities in the Senate and House are almost assured as well by these same trends.

So, the ONLY chance the Dems have is to A) Come up with better IDEAS and sell them to the American public or B) Have a moderate enough candidate that he/she can attract Republican votes, or C) Denigrate the Republicans enough and maintain some semblance of your base so that voter turnout is suppressed through disgust with the system and partisan attacks and enough Republicans stay home to get a Democrat elected.

Other than this, it is a fairly worthless time-waster to continually rehash 2000 and 2004 : they're done and over...as you like to say.... MOVE ON! (!)

I, and others, resent that.
We sit on our fat Republican asses and MAKE FUN of liberals on the internet.
Complaining would imply that you have some influence, which we all know Liberals do not.

Points finger and laughs :D

Yes, complaining means that you have influence. It doesn't mean that you just sit around and whine about liberals. Actually, that's exactly what the word complain means.

Republicans complain about liberals. You do not make fun. You froth at the mouths and say how liberals are ruining "moral" America (HAHA, Republicans knowing about morals).

Here's for making fun:

Derr, I'm a dumbass Republican who likes guns and killing people (except for unborn fetuses) and I'll shit on the American flag all I want because I'll just *say* that I'm patriotic and that'll make everything okay! I helped "vote in" one of the most biased and ignorant men in America because he makes me feel smart by comparison!

*points finger and laughs at retarded inbred corrupt sheep fucker* :D

Same here. Even though I'm a conservative republican, it doesn't mean Queen deserves your wrath or humiliation.

I'll stand with fellow Americans FOR a better country before I'll sit and point fingers AGAINST those who don't necessarily always agree with me.

FYI, travesty, Queen actually has come a long way towards seeing the Right's point of view, without agreeing nor embracing it. We (conservatives) are a lot more likely to draw people like her towards our point of view by constructively engaging her rather than shitting on her....
