Had to go w/the early 90's era...

Personally, they were totally representing who I was, who my friends were, and what we were all about during those times (sophmore in High School)...so I have a lot of personal memories attached to that album, and I still go through phases now where that will be the only album I listen to for a month straight. I've gone through 2 casette tapes (now, lost) 3 cd's (now own a scratched copy that goes to hell at Live at P.J.'s w/no case), and have the record framed and hung in my daughters playroom...not to mention the dubbed cassette that remains in my beater at all times.

Plus, my first concert was catching them at the ARagon Ball Room in Chicago, and one of my buddy's successfully pulled off a stage dive (that shit don't happen anymore kiddies..)

Artisticly, To put that record out, after an album as brilliant as Paul's Boutique and during those times w/the whole grunge/alt thing, rediculously stupid R&B, and the G Funk Era...was so original and individualized its f'n SICK! Not to mention the whole sakter/b-boy style they brought to the table, that is still influencing b-boys/girls today. NO other band can pull this shit off...I"m tellin' ya! Only true artists can successfully reinvent themselves like this.

Sorry, way to much writing...what can I say, I have a job where I sit in front of a computer w/my headphones on, ignoring all the dick-necks I work with...what would you do?

Good Thread.

Priceless concert at the ole Aragon Ball room im sure. Ive seen the BOYS 2wice...but that was at the time of Ill Comm & Hello Nasty.

But yeah, nothin like a early 90's or even the 87 Beastie concerts....man i could only envy those fortunate to be there at that time. (y)

What hurts even more is that I HAD tickets (FRONT ROW CENTER) here in Chicago for Beasties/Rage against the Machine......my man Mike D messed up his arm....i aint mad at him though. :p
