Which ones do you buy or go out of your way to read either as paper/bound publications or as online pieces? I'm talking about reading for work/professional reasons or just for pleasure.

I was at the newsagent last week buying a fitness magazine that had a cosmo-like sex survey on it. The guy behind the register, who is such a sweet heart, said something about how that magazine had a very good sex survey in it.
Then he realized what he was saying--he didn't blush but I could tell he was uncomfortable saying that to me.
Then he said something like, "It's very important for men to read everything they can about women."
I love him.

a zillion organic/natural retailer magazines we get at my store
What are your top couple of magazines in this category? Most of what I know about this stuff, I know from books but I'd like to keep more current with a magazine. And the magazine shops here have NOTHING in this category other than weight-loss stuff.
I want something that features articles about herbs, vitamins, healthy eating/lifestyles, but I don't want it to be oriented around weight loss/trendy stuff.

hrmm...well these are mostly advertisements we get from big companies. the main ones that we get that aren't just from one corp. would be Organic Retailer and...ahh what's the other one called...Natural Foods Merchandiser. i think. a really good one to read, though, is Life Extension. i think the public can subscribe to that. that one's really got all the newest info. and it's more about health than trendy stuff.

Ecologist - regularly
Permaculture - regularly
Utne - not so regularly. It's turning into a very girlie lifestyle magazine - losing it's visionary, radical edge.
Less regularly - Kitchen Garden, Resurgence, Buddhadharma, Mother Earth News, Shambhala Sun, The Economist, New Statesman, Mother Jones

always meant to subscribe, have a decent collection of
Nest
(I have other collections like that but I mention Nest because I love it so.)
Lately I've been picking up quilting magazines when I'm in the quilt shop or traveling (there's always a great selection in supermarkets - the smaller the town, the bigger the selection it seems). My favorite so far is Quilter's Newsletter. And I get work-related stuff like the Guild of Book Workers newsletter.
Those are just the physical ones... I'm sure I've forgotten some... oh, I also pick up the Onion when I pass a box. I also pick up the odd one-off mag now and then. I won't get into all the stuff I read online.
