Boards Of Canada
We are extremely proud to announce that Boards of Canada have finished and mastered their new album, to be released in October - their first release since 2002's Geogaddi! The album is very much classic Boards, building on themes and sounds that can can be heard in their intervening remix work for Beck, cLOUDDEAD and Boom Bip.

Screw this new band; don't be yet another witless patsy of the smut vendors.

If you want something good from Canada, listen to Bryan Adams.

Bryan Adams? Clearly you have better taste than to listen to this soft-rock douche.

"Summer of 69."

That's all you need to know; new bands can go choke on it.

you are wasting your youth.

My generation has been force-fed the dregs of filth left over from grunge's desecration of music... I'm honored to abstain from consuming from the abhorable new music trough.

Nothing after 89. A philosophy to live by.

jeezus. this song plays on the lite-rock radio that my work blasts all the time. I don't hold this song in high regard as a creative outlet. more like a cash cow for it's time.

In the end, however, its neither new nor shit.

The same can't be said for these pseuo-Candian scumbags.

Sandinista!, your a worthless cunt, shut the fuck up.
And all I've heard of Boards of Canada is the Beck remix, if you haven't, or even if you have, check my sig, Broken Turntable samples it and mashes it with 3 mcs and 1 dj. Nice tune indeed.

Your statement, like new music, consists of rehashed ideas that have already been effectively implemented by superior forces. You're wasting your time, boyo.

haha, im sorry...wat am i wasting my time on? It's clear you don't know shit about this band, but yet u make a broad generalization and throw it at me.... you may think that new music consists of rehashed ideas that have already been effectively implemented by superior forces, but that goes for the 'superior forces' too, for nothing is completely new, its always an improoved idea based off of a past idea. Thats like saying "why make a new car?" Things are meant to be improoved on.

Yes, because some new music-loving twit is going to spit out three sentences, and that will somehow magically make all of the meritless new trash out there sound good.

Sure, pal.

Haha, your a douche. Did I ever say I even liked 'new music'? I said I like Boards of Canada's remix of Beck's song 'Broken Drum'. You need to get your head out of your ass though. I'll admit 3/4 of the popular shit that is out now does i don't like, but thats cuz it aint my style, i dont like alot of the 'rock' songs out now, they're just shitty to me. Though they're not bad, they just aren't wat i want to listen to. that's basically the last i will say, cuz i dont think its possible to get through to you.
oh and ofcourse, your a fuckin cunt. :p remember that, cuz u are one

Finally a new release! I'm dropping the 15 or 20$ on this one. I'm tired of shelling out so much cash for all those EPs.

It truly is a shame that I won't be there to laugh when Sandinista! finally realizes the folly of his policy and starts listening to new music.

It will likely be hilarious.

There will probably be crying.

Yeah, right.

As if one day I'm just going to listen to some douchebag and not say "What the fuck? This cunt ripped off [Oh, for this hypothetical's sake, let's say... Dead or Alive]! Fucking talentless gyp!"

Yeah, right. Go shove it, dingbat; nothing by anyone who came after 1989. Nothing.

This just in: New music propagates simultaenous homophobic and homoerotic behaviour on the twits who listen to it.

Quit your vapid yapping and buy some Stooges or Depeche Mode material.

Don't mess around with getting this off soulseek or a torrent. I've run into 3 different fakes; 1 very convincing fake is just a bunch of Freescha tunes (go get some If you have no idea who that it). This sucks, but I will wait.....

Having given the new album a proper listening to; it's not bad, but by no means their best. The reliance on acoustic guitars starts to grate a little and you do feel like you've heard it all before... But given that it's BOC, I'll let them off.

Also, in the Pitchfork Interview (http://www.pitchforkmedia.com/interviews/b/boards-of-canada-05/) they reveal they're actually brothers... Hmm.
