You Dems had your sphincters bleeding before you even knew your pants were down! :D I'm glad John and John had enough influence on America to at least balance out the powers in the House and Senate...psssshaw! It is appearant that America would rather have the worst Republican Aministration EVER, than a have Democrats running things.
Where is Queen AdRock? You and others were ASSURING me that the happy days of higher taxes, bumbling bureaucratic national healthcare, happy elk in Alaska and more handouts for the un-needy were on the way in short order. What happened? Because I, for one, feel taxes are way too low already, wish the federal government would manage my healthcare as I am incapable, love the price of gasoline right now (though it seems a bit low still) and I truly believe America can never have too many mooches suckling off the system.
That's allright Dems, there is always Hillary in '08 right? Seems a logical choice with all of the great things she has done for NY. Any of you NY B-Boys and girls benefitting from ANYTHING she has done? Well, she hasn't really done anything you say? C'mon she spearheaded the cause to have Grand Theft Auto changed from a Mature Rating to Adult rating... that's gotta count for something. Taking advice from Tipper is no way to get in the White House, ask Al. Do SOMETHING besides raise taxes Hillary!

Sad to see that the Islamic Jihad came to visit Ace42 on his own soil. How you feeling about the war on terror now Ace? Pretty convenient to make a living by blaming your government for the world's woes, they are far less likely to kill you than if you actually blamed the TERRORISTS isn't it? Not too hip on the idea of living like Salman Rushdee are you? That ain't quite so comfortable is it? Cry me a river you pussy!

Just a point which has occurred to me, surely the fact that London was bombed highlights the fact that The War against Terror (TWAT) has been a spectacular failure?
Werent the wars in Iraq and Afganistan supposed to stop this sort of thing ever happening again?
I know its controversial but I suspect that the bombings in London were because of rather than in spite of TWAT. Rather devastating to Bush's foreign policy if you ask me?

Point of note....Karl Rove needs to sack up and own it, and then go get a different job (preferrably on with a funny hat). He is a tool. Do not blindly confuse me for someone who supports him.
PS- A little early to be calling the next election just yet there Terp Girl. Not even Obama can get through the "rigging" scam we have in the works for '08

Well, it's good to hear you don't support Rove or sheep-like religious fanaticism. And I'm not saying we're going to win in '08, I'm saying that the Republicans are going to have to pay for the shit that's going down now. And since they've fucked up the past 5 and will fuck up the next 3, they'll get theirs somehow.
Preferably election-wise, but a brick through the window of their cars will do nicely as well.

What the hell are you talking about? I have no idea what it was like where you are, but in 1999, 2000 gas cost 99 cents a gallon here. Now it's about $2.30 (I don't know the exact price because it's fluctuating so much lately). Let's see, it was cheaper five years ago, who was President then? Oh right, a Democrat. And who's President now? A Republican, correct? But yeah, those awful Democrats (who aren't even the dominant party) ar the ones raising the prices.

You are not very smart. You can't stop all of the attacks. Plenty have been stopped.
Sure plenty have been stopped, but I think it is fair to say that there are more terrorist attacks going on around the world since TWAt than before. So far from solving the terrorism problem, TWAT has made it worse.
So TWAT has had the oppoesite effect from that which it was supposed to. Who could have predicted that?
Oh thats right, nearly everyone, it was obvious.
Of course I am being facetious, I dont really think that prevention of terrorism was not what the war in the middle east was about.

My point is that we can try to get oil from our own resources, like Alaska or we can continue to be dependent on the Middle East and be at the mercy of thier prices. But alas, according to the Dems, we might really upset the poor elk, so it's better to upset the lives of military mothers whose sons die because we have fight other people for our oil.

FYI, France WAS occupied for years before you came and 'saved' us (after Hitler'd spent most of his might fighting the Russians and the rest of the world). Thanks for killing thousands of French civillians in the Normandy landings and leaving military bases in Europe so that we became a target during the Cold War.

As for the bases......Our Pleaure, believe me, nothing makes us Americans happier than making the French a target for nuclear, or really any kind of attack. Oh... and thanks for French Fries... they're Good!

I bet you would have said the same thing when Japan attacked Pearl Harbor.
The fact is, MOST of the terrorists are in Iraq. I'd rather fight them over there then over here.
That seems pretty stupid, first of all I would not have said what I said when Japan bombed PH because it would have been completely irrelevant.
Secondly, you have completely backed up my point with your post. You say most of the Terrorists are in Iraq, now Gmsisko, why do you think that is?
Do you think that Iraq is where the worlds terrorists have always lived or do you think that all the poeple in the world who are terrorists have moved to Iraq or perhaps, these people became terrorists as a responce to the invasion of their country and were not terrorists before?

I'm not making fun of disabled people, I'm making fun of France! But I guess comparing the two really isn't fair to disabled people, they don't have a choice. So you are right, my apologies to the all of the disabled. And you still haven't explained how the first post was racist. If I was wrong, please show me the error of my ways.

Right now France is un cool. They are not a true friend to the US.
But please lets not forget their help in the rev. war.
Didn't you get the memo, sisko? Bush said we can start eating French Fries again, because we're friends. You don't agree with Bush? Wow, I'm surprised.
And I do agree we need to find alternative sources for middle eastern fuel. However, I think we should look into having a mandatory raise of MPG's for new cars, and should look into ethanol and other forms of fuel. Drilling in Alaska will not hold out. The U.S. contains only 2% of the world's oil (that's including the south), so it'll run out just like the oil now is.
We need a solution, not a band-aid.

Agreed it is a small amount overall, but it may reduce our reliance on the tMiddle East long enough to get some genuinely alternative technologies to the market. While we wait for these "alternatives" (and I've been waiting since before Clinton took the helm!) people are dying for oil on foreign turf. Believe me, I want happy elk too and truly I think we can have both with a rational approach. (Unfortunately GW et al seem to do very few things rationally.) I just don't understand why I should have to complain ( or assault) the produce boy who raised his price for rutabega, when I could grow it myself.

There already is a mandatory raise of MPG's on new cars. Yes Yes we do need a new source of fuel. This should have been done 10 years ago.
We need a solution, and a temporary band-aid.
Well...all band-aids are temporary, that's the point.
Tell me, sisko, have you ever seen a brand-new Humvee on the roads where you live? Because the rich people around me like these military-vehicles because it makes them feel big and powerful. It also has only 9 mpg city, 11 highway.
Doing a quick search, you can compare cars (http://www.gmc.com/comparator/compareVehicle.do) online.
The new 2005 GMC Yukon has 16 city/20 hwy.
2005 Expedition: 14 city/19 hwy.
2005 Toyota Sequoia: 15 city/19 hwy.
These vehicles use way too much gas. I applaud the car manufacturer's attempts of raising MPG, but it's not enough just to raise sedan's. I myself drive a car that gets 22 city/33 hwy and use it mainly for highway driving. However, SUV's eat up majority of the gas around here, and the people who drive them DON'T need them.
Our next door Republican neighbors drive a Sequoia. They also have an Explorer. They have 3 children. They could easily have a hybrid Escape, which is 36 city/31 hwy...but they decide not to. You might be asking, do they have a boat? Do they own a trailer, perhaps? Or do they simply like going off-roading in these huge SUV's? The answer to all of them is "no." They just enjoy having large cars, because it makes them feel bigger than everyone else on the road.
My family owns a trailer to go camping. A small pop-up trailer that fits 5 people comfortably. And we drive it with our 2002 Chevy Malibu, which gets the same mileage as my car does. How ironic. The family that needs extra power, decides not to take it, and the family that simply wants "status" is taking that extra power. We need mandatory raises for ALL cars AND SUVs.

I know that people say things for effect sometimes. I love France. But I have to say that I'd be surprised to see someone seriously argue that France was better off under the Vichy Regime than it has been since. In my mind, the Vichy Regime is so embarrassing I'd never dream of bringing it up to a French person, anymore that I'll be asking today's German citizens about the Holocaust on my next trip to Germany. All these years, I've figured that this embarrassment was why so many people falsely claimed to have been part of the French resistance.
(My favorite uncle was seriously wounded in France, by the way.)
Yeah, and I know that my own forefathers had a lot of blood on their hands.
