Why do the Boys make an album, go on tour, and then not do anything else? I mean I guess they want to take a break, but they haven't been in magazines etc. (well none that I've read.) And I haven't heard any Beastie news. I mean not to be negative about this, but I'm just sayin'. You know?

They do album, tour and then have a break. The last break was for about 4 years. Its their choice. And they're not in any mags cos they have nothing to promote.

that's what is good about them if the beasties were always in our face and on tv and stuff i'm sure we would not look as forward to there new albums if they came out with one every year it would get boring they always leave us wanting more this way

Yeah making an album, touring, magazines and interviews, tv performances, and also the dvd is alot harder then you think. It's alot of stress so I really think they deserve it, most definatly.

CYH & IC are the only albums that are similar and they released them relatively close together. AND THANK GOD THEY DID because it's clearly their finest work and there was definetly not only a market, but a demand for a follow-up to CYH. Not to mention there was enough material for a follow-up.

CYH and IC are from an area that is no longer. This direction would be pure nostalgia and lack the creativity required for an interesting Beastie Boys release. A better move would be to follow up TT5B using more BS2000 / Latch Bros experimentation and incorporate a large quantity of samples of their own live instrumentation (e.g., soul jazz, bossanova, funk, 'porno' soundtrack type stuff). Also, samples from early New York punk rock / new wave / hardcore / ska / reggae would be nice 'window dressing' or signals of commitment to their early influences.

All though no one has heard of upcomming beastie projects, they are really busy people probably. They probably have meetings and comferences with business people that doesnt have to do with fans or promoting anything. And also true they have families to take care of not just their fans. Being a celeb is no picnic and party all the way you know. I personaly think its kind of exciting to wait and see whats comming up next with them. :D
