So like does everybody goof off on the Internet (or in other ways) when they know their boss won't be around? I like to think I can work independently, but even I have to admit my focus isn't as good when I know there are no higher-ups to supervise me.

I always make sure I get every thing done by the time they get back, but I'm about 50% less efficient when they are gone. And I'm about 90% effective on a normal basis. So that means I'm actually 40% effective when I'm unsupervised. I'm a fucking slacker. :o

So please, share your percentage/level of efficacy when the boss isn't around

I get a lot done when no one is supervising. I can't stand having someone over my shoulder checking up on me. Just tell me what needs to get done and when it needs to be done by. I will admit that I don't work steadily or anything. I'll either hurry and get shit done so I can goof off the rest of the time or goof off until the very end and then bust my ass to get everything done.

My boss is rarely around in the sense that he's in my office.
It's a very trusting environment but I also don't abuse it.
I come here during the days but I work from home at night a lot & on the weekends too.

It's not busy during the summers (I'm at a university) so there's a little bit of leeway. In a month when the term starts up, it'll be a different story.

I get a fair amount of work done. Especially compared to my co-workers. I just have to go with the momentum--once I start, I don't like to stop.

My boss is only around for about 0.0001% of the time, so I'm pretty much cruisin' at about 10% productivity most of the time. When I do actually do some work, I'm working at about 4000% productivity
