This thread fascinates me.

I had a friend who did some sort of candle-in-the-ear-lighting thing to clear wax, which she didn't have a problem with anyway. She was curious about the notion of it and she wound up singeing off the left side of her hair and part of her dog's hair too. Don't ask.

I singed my bangs away a few years ago when I was lighting matches in the wind. I kind of liked the look.
