I haven't been this upset in a long time

I have a 102 degree fever and I'm not allowed to go see my granddad in California. I kept saying that if I get really sick, we'll be in the right place, but my mom keeps saying no. She doesn't want me to get everyone else sick, and especially my granddad, if that's possible.

I just hope he makes it because I have to see him. It's been too long since I last saw him, and if what he has is fatal, I at least want to be able to say goodbye.

I'm sorry to hear that. But on the plus side, you won't be flying whilst ill - that's an absolute misery. (Plus with the recycled air in the cabin, you wold likely make a lot of other people ill as well, so your mom's made a good call.) But I do hope you get to see your grandad soon.

This is so sweet...that you care that much. Honestly. A lot of people don't really get their grandparents until it's too late. Even if you can't see him this weekend, you can maybe talk with him on the phone and he'll still know how you feel. Especially if you tell him. Take care of yourself.

that happened to me with my cousin. He was in a car crash and i couldn't go to see him for three days. When i finally got there, he died 5 minutes after i saw him through the hosipital room window.
