LTI.......I think theyre up to 6 millions copies sold.
as for the 500,000 a year number, thats sounds a way bit too high considering it has sold 3 million copies its first year and were 20 years later and that would equal up to 11 million to date.
i read it in some magazine man, could be wrong. the same mag said they have 70 million records sold worldwide...these are things i like to believe lol, so i pass them on

I read on rollingstone.com that LTI has sold very very nearly 10 or just over (i can't remember exactly) million albums (that was in 2003 or 2004) so that 500,000 mark might not be too far off actually, i think hello nasty sold like 7 million or something like that i'm not sure though

it had passed the 5 mark by the end of the 80's. i also thought the 500,000 copies a year thing was reasonable, the mag wouldn't just make it up. i think your right about hello nasty too.

In the U.S., all of their studio albums are multi-platinum, with the exception of TT5B, which is currently platinum (platinum = 1 million units). TT5B, however, went platinum in only a few months' time. All of their other albums took much longer to reach that status.
Here's the order:
1. Licensed to Ill
2. Hello Nasty
3. Ill Communication
4. Check Your Head
5. Paul's Boutique
6. Anthology: The Sounds of Science
7. To The Five Boroughs
Most of their albums have not been audited by the RIAA for years, so this list might be inaccurate. I wouldn't be surprised if "Licensed to Ill" has reached diamond status (10 million units). In 2001, it was at 9,000,000 units, according to the RIAA.
platinum today might as well be considered multi-platinum because so many people just steal the cd off the internet, or burn copies for friends
