this weekend I'm off to see his stand-up show. I am stoked. Anyone else had the pleasure of seeing him perform live?

Anyway, Let's talk live comedy shows....who have you seen?

I've have seen Carlin and Dane Cook and they both pretty much kicked ass.

I've seen him twice. The last time was last November and some jerk in the audience had the audacity to heckle him and persist in doing so. I thought LB showed great restraint--he so clearly could have slammed that woman all night long but he didn't.

Who in their right mind would do that with someone like him or Jon Stewart.

Anyway, I went with my son. We both loved the show.

If you like LB, you'll like Eddie Izzard.

If it werent for that horse, I wouldnt have spent that year in College...

(y) I think of Lewis Black about every time I see a horse. Or a Starbucks.

And his shows are affordable too. I forgot to mention that in my previous post.

Hey everyone...

I just searched the boards for "Dane Cook" and found this thread. He's my favorite comedian and I've seen him perform twice so far at the Laugh Factory in Hollywood. Anyway, yesterday he did a signing of his new cd at a Tower Records in Hollywood and I attended, wearing one of my Beastie Boys shirts. When it was my turn to talk to him and have him sign my stuff, he immediately commented on my shirt saying; "Oh hey man, great shirt! I caught them on their tour last year and it was awesome!" I know this is Beastie Free and all but I had to include this part naturally. It was just really cool knowing my favorite comedian likes my favorite musicians. I have a pic with he and I both doing the SuFi which I'll post after I get it developed. If you don't know what the SuFi is, just go to his site. ;) Take it easy and I hope all is well people.

Lewis Black is awesome!

Here's my list (short and sweet):

Eddie Izzard
Jake Johannsen
Kids in the Hall
Andy Dick (& friends)
Jerry Seinfeld
Dennis Miller (ugh... it was parents weekend at college... he was late, and a jerk!)
Paula Poundstone

Oh, and in The Marijuana-Logues (produced by a friend of ours):

Tommy Chong
Arj Barker
Doug Benson
Tony Camin

I might be forgetting some.

I can't imagine seeing Lewis Black for a whole show? Is he different than on the Daily Show?

Seinfeld did a great job with hecklers and was appropriately mean.

Eddie Izzard didn't have any. I loved him, but the show I saw was uneven.

Paula Poundstone used to do the most consistently funny set, I thought.

WHY THE FUCK DON'T I LIVE IN L.A. OR NEW YORK.

BLAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH.

Ahem. The few comedians who actually decide once in a while to stop here have been good. I saw Lewis Black last year, I was able to wait around and have him autograph a poster which was cool, he was pretty nice about it.

Lewis Black
Bill Cosby
Jerry Seinfeld
Mo Rocca
David Sedaris (not standup, but still comedy)

and I've seen some no-names at the local comedy club.

I would love to see David Cross more than anyone else probably.
