FOR EXAMPLE: One evening last week, my girlfriend and I were getting into bed.

Realizing that nothing was going to happen that night, I went to sleep.
The very next day I opted to take the day off of work to spend time with her.

She couldn't decide which one to take so I told her we'd just buy them all.

She wanted new shoes to compliment her new clothes,

We went onto the jewelry department where she picked out a pair of diamond earrings.
Let me tell you...she was so excited. She must have thought I was one wave short of a
shipwreck. I started to think she was testing me because she asked for a tennis bracelet

I think I threw her for a loop when I said, "That's fine, honey."

She was almost nearing sexual satisfaction from all of the excitement.
Smiling with excited anticipation she finally said, "I think this is all dear, let's go to the cashier."

I don't hate aimee and my intention wasn't simply to upset her and make her cry. My intention was to tell her that I was annoyed by her, to explain what it was that I was thinking. I didn't search for the most painful things to throw at her, I was being honest about what I thought. Verbally accost? You make it sound so dramatic. Aimee's interesting, infuritating, endearing and I was talking to her. Yeah it was in public maybe it should have been in PM but intitially I felt like it would inspire more of a group discussion than me vs her.

You're focusing on my tone and style and not on what I said at all. Just like when people give you a hard time for writing in an arrogant way, instead of focusing on what you actually said. When I'm complimentary towards people I'm suddenly sooo insightful and I know them so well, like it's a magic trick. Maybe they're lying to be nice when they say that, because when I dislike something about them, I'm then assuming shit I don't know and there's no way I could know them enough to say such things.

I admit that I am sarcastic and have a mean impatient way of saying things, I upset people and have hurt them but that's never what I try to do, instead I just feel like I'm shoving my thoughts, being demanding that they think about what I'm saying. I was talking to Afronaut about it on chat once. I can't remember what I said exactly. I love human emotion and confrontation. In person, when I do things like this, I get all shaky and red-faced and it doesn't go as smoothly because I stumble and stutter trying to think of the right words. This gives me some more time to think about it but still Im basically stream-of-consciousing right now.

Anyway I told Afro that hurting people isn't what I enjoy, what I like is inspiring someone. I love making people laugh or think or get angry. I love it not because it makes me feel powerful but because it makes me feel like I'm really talking to another human being, like life is happening and it's not a dry empty conversation that we'll both forget. Is that because I lead a desperate lonely life? I don't know. Maybe on the inside I do. From the outside it wouldn't look that way. So it could be seen as manipulative, but I think that is oversimplifying it.
