has anyone heard this yet? its out on limewire now. ive heard a few tracks, but i wasnt too impressed. the lyrics are strong as always but the music has that annoying 'low budget' feel to it, which just doesnt seem right when compared to their eariler records. and why the fuck is paris producing it?

i cant really make my mind up, the lyrics are great and some tracks are a lot stronger then others, but i just hate the low budget feel that some of the tracks have. then again, ive only heard their first 4 albums so maybe its the lack of dense sample use which making it difficult for me to make an oppinion on the music.

Lo-fi production values are a clear indicator that someone wishes for "grittyness" or an "edgier" sound.

I've never been to fond of it, truth be told.

it just ends up sounding cheap though. and there are far to many inferior emcee's on the album. 'hard rhymin' is the best song on the album, but using samples of scratches when you have terminator x in your group is lame.
