anyone have that?

I have already looked in to insurance at work. At the moment, no insurance for part-time employees. They say they will have it 'soon,' but who knows when that will be.

any tips/ideas/experience/help/etc?

Yeah, I'm thinking of getting Mamsi through UMD, it's $1395 for a whole year, and it covers all hospital bills and checkups, and it's $10 co-pays for non-brand medications, $20 for brand-name. It seems pretty good.

I'm getting booted off my BCBS on my 22nd. What a great birthday present. Assholes.

that sucks :/

and yeah I just looked all over to see if AI offers insurance, and they do. Except I can't find the doctor visists co-pay ammount anywhere. I see that it's $15 for generic drugs on a $41 a month plan, which isn't awful. I just need to double check that whole doctor visit thing. I tend to fo more than I like, so I want to know if I can afford the visits.

p.s. I HATE having to get health insurance. Damn it.

I choose insurance by which company has the best commercials. That's why I have Nationwide Car Insurance. I like Dennis Haysbert.

Nevermind, it's not Nationwide. It's Allstate. I have Allstate. Usually I just say 'the one with Cerano'

yeah I hope it turns out that it won't be too pricey after all for student health insurance. I'm crossing my fingers for a $20 or less doctor visit co-pay.

It's probably relatively cheap. I don't even have health insurance through Maryland yet, and I still went to their health center and got psychiatrist appointments for $10 co-pay, as opposed to $160 (yeah, i don't think i'll be going to a psychiatrist from Potomac who owns his own practice again, very expensive, and all I need him for is meds).

If you have a health center on campus, you can still probably be seen for some things for cheap. But that won't cover hospital or anything else...go shoot them an email though. UMD tries to pedal their health insurance all they can, I'm willing to bet other universities are too, so it'll be really easy to get answers.
