some people looking at wedding invitations at work and thought to myself that if I get married the second time around, I'm sending out Sponge Bob invites because its such a waste of money.
Besides feeling sorry for the next person that might marry me, anyone have some cool wedding stories to share? I've been to very few weddings and haven't come across anything that someone did that was out of the ordinary and unique. Same old weddings.

A friend brought a date she met on the internet to our wedding. He hit on every woman at the wedding, including the bride!

You wanna marry me for the free presents? I could use some new silverware.

I've recently heard a pretty cool wedding tradition from someone's family I know.
Instead of people tapping their glasses to urge the Bride and Groom to kiss, they have the MC announce right after the speech by the Best Man that if your table wishes to provoke the young couple to kiss, everyone from the table must stand up and sing a song with the word "Love" in the title.
So instead of people obnoxiously tapping their glasses while the bride has a mouthful of roasted red bliss potatoes,...you have groups of people singing "All you need is Love." Sounds like it would be a pretty cool type of wedding to go to.

My brother got married in Vegas but it wasn’t like a theme wedding. Although they looked suspiciously like Danny and Sandy from Grease in the scene where they go to the dance together. He was in a black suit with pink shirt and she had a white dress that looked a lot like the one from the movie and her hair looked like Sandy’s. I’m 97% sure it was done intentionally but never bothered to ask.

My wedding was great. It all goes by too fast though. But we got married on a boat in NY harbor. We didn't have a DJ or anything because they all suck and we didn't want to pay for some jerk who I'm sure would play all tha same stupid shit you hear at every other fucking wedding. Like I need to see anyone do the chicken dance ever again in my life. We just bought a load of Motown compilation CD's and the boat captain put them in the five-CD mixerator thingie and chilled out with friends and family. It was an excellent evening. 6 August 1999. Shit. Need to go buy mr.p an anniversary present...

Well the last wedding I went to it was like midnight and everyone was like drunk, starving and dancing and then Buffet's Cheeseburger in Paradise came on and all the servers came out with these huge platters of mini cheeseburgers....it was fricking awesome...you know you just want some drunk food at that point anyway.

haha. I was considering making my own invitations. Not each one individually, because it will just take too long. But design my own and have them reprinted at a cheap cost. Maybe I'll draw the boy and I as stick pirate figures holding hands and it will read "you ARRRRRR invited to the best wedding near the pacific ocean, savvy?!"
that'd be awesome.
^ I made my own invitations (had them printed at a print shop), then assembled them... I was so not interested in the same old white with silver trim that everyone else was doing...

I agree . . I seem to get the same invatation to every wedding I go to. But with all the planning you have to do isnt making your own invatations just more added stress?
