it's a good thing.
i love buying things in larger quantities - it's cheaper and more convenient. but, i usually am only cooking for one or two, so it's harder to do.
anyway, is there any food you go through enough to buy in bulk?
for me it's cereal, rice milk, pasta, and drinks - fruit juice, tea, etc. i get a big discount if i buy a case.
just curious :)

We have this place called Bulk Barn.
EVERYTHING you could imagine.
Candy. Pasta. Snack food. Spices. Soup powder. Even dishes, it's retarted.

before moving to the UK I was in a food co-op and as a group we'd buy lots of stuff in bulk and divide it amongst our six households. It was definitely good, and cheaper. But here in London, people's living spaces are smaller so it's not as practical.

As I only make meals for one and usually try to use fresh produce (vegetables, cheese, low-lactose milk) so I can't really buy in bulks. Only time I buy larger amounts if the cat food my cats prefer is on sale, cause they're in cans. I haven't got a car so I can't make to the Cheap-o-Markets (not that I would want to anyway, they have such bad personel policies).

I'm a Costco whore.....paper products are great to buy in bulk, drinks, meat (just split it up into portions and freeze), pasta, rice (jasmine all the way), shampoo & conditioner, diapers, I could go on and on

I don't buy in bulk because I'm afraid I'll get sick of what I have.

I live alone and it is so hard to cook for one...you make all this food and you think ok leftovers...then you get sick of eating it so it ends up going to waste.

Alcohol. Especially beer. Like as if i'd pay 13 bucks per 6 pack for domestic beers, when I can buy a slab for 30!!
And Cascade Apple Isle (ask zorra or pres, its tassies finest :))
We seem to also buy chocolates in bulk. My mum has a friend who knows someone who works at cadbury (chocolates) and you can get like 10 kilos of chocolate bars unpackaged but like in huge cadbury bags for like 5 bucks (y). Or like the sarah lee ice cream factory, you can get all kinds of cakes, yoghurts and ice cream really really cheap :D
