...that a seriously unfunny person usually notes all the laughs and good will the funny person generates and decides to compete. And it's painfully unfunny. :(

I would find that humorous actually....sitting back and watching the unfunny try to be funny....

I generally the Funny One, but not in this case. I was observing another of my caste.

Come to think of it, The Office got a bit of mileage from this scenario….

David brent reminds me of one of my friends. not necessarily in the way he talks or the kinds of jokes he makes, but just in the way that people react to him, like they just sort of awkwardly half smile and look away because they dont want to hurt his feelings. the poor kid just can't make a funny joke for his life, and i'd feel bad for him if he weren't such a disaster to be around

I can't stand seeing people make fools out of themselves.

I cringe when I see "reality shows", anything by Martin Lawrence and threads by gmsisko.
