now i love the cosby show but what the fuck yo. Ok yes you're black and well off but that huxtable residence shit is just too much, damn they had that shit every season. who the fuck in brooklyn answers their phone "_____ residence". and how come cliff and claire didnt have any ordinary friends who had undistinguished roles in life? it was always oh this is our friend Dr. whoever, a professor at harvard for 50 years. Like the episode with BB king except he wasnt BB king but still. Theo sees him perform at a club then comes home all excited telling his parents and playing his music then his parents are like oh he's in the kithchen right, he's a family friend... what the fuck??????
as i watch this show on reruns i have a lot of questions come up that i didnt think of the first i watched the show.
on other rerun news, after watching "who's the boss" i wonder what the fuck made me like that back in the day. On the other hand "Roseanne" reruns are making me wonder why the fuck i didnt watch this show when it originally aired.

I'm like this currently with "All in the Family"... my pre-conceived ideas of the show as a young child vs. watching it as an adult is completely different.

Wow! You are out of date. I've been into this show since before Bonet left to start on A Different World. I'm glad they show the reruns now.

I already have The Cosby Show of season one already. I can't say how.

Claire also had so much time to lie around the house and read magazines and entertain dinner guests even though she was such a busy lawyer.
And what's with Denise? She didn't look like her parents at all.
Yeah! YEAH! All these incongruities! I just can't enjoy the show anymore!

I miss my Saturday morning Smurfs.
I thank the Cosby Show for two reasons...the word Zurburt and the phrase "Jammin on the one!"

Why is the kitchen always to the left of the house, just like in Hangin' With Mr Cooper and Fresh Prince of Bel Air?
are all kitchens to the left of the living room/or like,at the back of the house in america?

And has anybody noticed that on the first episode of Nanny the entrance and the stairs upstairs are on the left hand side and from the second episode on they're on the right hand side....

The kitchen on Growing Pains was on the right...
And also on Full House, Who's The Boss, Mr Belvedere, Newhart, Charles in Charge, My Sister Sam...
My kitchen is to the left, right and another right.

I never much cared for Rudy or any epidodes where the plot revolved around her, or her and Vanessa. Vanessa was so whiney and immature. Theo was the best, or the episodes where Sondra and Elvin are lovey dovey and flakey and the parents just roll their eyes at them.
Claire had some of the best lines of any TV parent ever, when she got angry or indignant.

I loved it too, but then the actress, Rebecca Shaeffer who played the younger sister Patti, was killed by a stalker. It was so sad.

I can't watch that because the younger sister was murdered in real life. :(
EDIT: Jinx Nuzz!
I never watched sitcoms at night, so I'm always 5-10 years behind. One show I never watched until reruns was Home Improvement. It was much better than I expected.
I liked Kate and Allie too.

Yeah, I was about to ask that to someone. I've only started to watch that show in the early 90's and years ago I heard something tragic had happened to her, but I've never really searched for.
That's just sick.

The episode Sam tries to play piano is so funny! It reminds of me back then when I used to play the piano. Every little kid got to play really hard songs and I (at 13) was stuck with the "Happy Bear".:DThat made me feel so angry I strived myself to play really hard songs like those classic Valses and Mozart stuff.:D

One of the early divorced moms' sitcoms. Even earlier was One Day at a Time. That show was on in prime time when I was a kid and my friends' parents wouldn't let them watch because the mom was divorced. My friends also couldn't watch Soap because Billy Crystal played a gay guy (there were so many worse things on that show, like didn't the daughter have a baby with the devil?).
Sometimes it was good having old parents who had gotten too tired to care about stuff like that. :)
