Wow that's strange, I have heard of this condition. One of my coworkers was telling me that she had this exact problem after she had her baby and breastfed him. Her nipples continued to have hyper active glands and secrete extra oil and sweat which she said would build up into a noticeable dark crust on her nipples which hurt to peel off. This is gross, I know, but she was telling me about it, it was embarrassing for her. She said her doctor told her to just exfoliate more in the shower with a washcloth to keep it from building up like it did.

I think that happens to a lot of women and it's just not talked about. How could it not happen? It's still your nipple. What kind of skin do you think they use to make fake nipples on surgically reconstructed breasts? I wonder if they use portions of vaginal labia tissue because it is so sensitive.
