it's exposure she's not likely to get anywhere else. her auditioning doesn't automatically mean she's a sell-out, no-talent hack.
i'm sure she's very excited about this opportunity, and could really use any support you could afford her.

I'm actually very supportive of her and as I told her no matter what it's a great experience to go through, and she'll always remember participating.
I'm actually more concerned with how she'll feel if she get rejected. I don't want that simon to be mean to her!
it's more of a question of whether they'll recognize her tallent. i have confidence in her. I just don't have confidence in tv producers.

gotcha. i suppose just be selected as a candidate says a lot. better to have made it and been rejected than to have never been accepted at all.

a buddy of mine had a girlfriend that auditioned for the show and she was rejected. she had some wild fantasy that she would go all the way. she was dead certain she would win. completely based the prospects of the rest of her life with the thoughts of winning this show. she went insane after she didn't make it past auditions. just completely over emotional, crying constantly. sometimes people get these insane fantasies. what the fuck

thankfully my friend has a better attitude than that^. she'll be really thankful if she can just get through the first round. She knows she's got a chance, but she's not laying money down on anything yet.
