help with limewire

when i first got it, it ran fine .. quite fast and no problems (speeds between 20-100kb). now, however, the download speeds have really decreased (2-3) .. and i was wondering if there's anything i can do to fix this. i do have a firewall and a router.. and i tried port forwarding.. although i may have not done it properly.. i read something about "NAT" and "forcing" .. but i have no idea what these terms mean.

any help?

I think it rules, good for downloading por... educational material and stuff

wawin', go see preferences, set the "download bandwidth" to 100%

that made a massive difference for me

i've never had a spyware problem with limewire...i just run a scan everyday and that seems to do the trick.
