Just discovered The Streets this week (yes, a year late, but with 3 kids, wife, etc please forgive me), love the cockney rap.....anybody have other UK hip hop recommendations I should check out??

If you liked The Streets, you'd probably like M.I.A. She's really damn good.

And you should listen to Buck 65. I'd describe him as the Canadian version of the Streets.

yeah i dont know about that, but his drum and bass stuff is wicked, i saw him at a rave 3 years ago, and needless to say, his set was awesome.

My flat at Uni is a two minute walk from where Goldie grew up.

As you can guess it's a bit rough round there to say the least.

Mainly the track 'Mother'. 70 minutes of utter crap. Also he was in Eastenders...

But his early Metalheadz stuff was on the money.

ever seen a movie called Busted? if you haven't, dont. Goldie and David Bowie are the stars of the movie. i hired it out just coz goldie was in it. maybe it's just an english thing but fuck me it was crap

I've never heard of it. When did that come out? With Bowie and Goldie acting you know you're in trouble.

wouldn't be able to tell you when it came out, my guess is a year or so before Snatch.

Yeah, bowie as a hardcore london gangsta doesn't really work..........
