I have no attention span for TV. Every time I watch, I zone out and then realize that I have no idea what happened in the last 10 minutes.
I'm trying to watch a civil war documentary and I somehow missed Cold Harbor. :(

yeah, interesting that cartoon network's adult swim figured this out and has the best shows at 15 minutes

I find myself listening to music and playing video games much more than watching tv. I probably only watch tv for the ashes (cricket), and AFL (football), and occasionally some glasshouse or the oc or something.

I find myself turning on the TV mostly by habit. Then when I loose track of what I'm watching, I find myself muting it while I put on music. It takes me a while to realize I should just turn it off. I hope to get to the point where I don't turn it on at all.
But I'm making a concerted effort to get through some DVDs I rented this weekend and even though it's good stuff I can't do it.

OMG! Isn't that scary??? I drive a lot in my job and when I'm tired I won't remember huge stretches of road.

I can't watch TV any more because it's so awful. Even the news is just plain stupid. I can't believe they actually dramatise news stories, and badly, in the UK now. I've even seen news stories put to music.
The biggest insult to the intelligence is Big Brother, especially the awful off-shoots such as Big Brother's Big Mouth, in which moronic members of the public try to convince themselves they are engaging in debate instead of clouding the collective third eye with fake issues.
The absolute pits is this new one where families train to become rap bands complete with gangland hand gestures and a 'rap coach' who looks like a parody that Ali G would consider too ridiculous to contemplate.
Best shows on TV recently have been Surviving Extremes, Tribe, Ray Mears' Bushcraft, Nathan Barley and The Long Way Round.
