allright,

1, ok mash-up. beat sounds a bit to slowed down and the acapella aint good enough.

2, sounds horrible, voices are too low, the beat is too plain and sounds like shit.

3, nice beat, did you make it yourself? chorus is dope. the beat that comes on at 2:20 sec sounds too slowed down.

4, yuck. nice try but the voices aren't working. beat sounds too plastic and plain.

5, the beat is reminiscent of an episode in friends, when ross displays his synth skills, if you've seen it you know what I mean.

6, too ambient. sounds like a bad porn theme.

7, the beat is actually kinda cool, for like twenty seconds, the xylophonish sounds in the chorus are really lame.

8, dope as hell, a bit repetitive, where'd you get the beat from?

9, the limerick file vocals doesn't really go well with such an old school beat, but it's decent, sounds half-assed, just looping run dmc and putting an acapella on top.

10, a bit noisy in a bad way, but I guess all the prodigy-heads dig this, would've been cooler if you'd speeded the vocals up without raising the pitch.

11, another simple mash-up. sure the vocals fit but anyone could've done this.


all in all, I think you got something, but if you'd just spend more than an hour on each remix you'd probably develop your skills more. keep it up! (y)

1 - Xzibit beat (front 2 back) with self made pella

2 - A beat I made with a rocky loop and some drum loops and me scratching.

3 - A RREEAALLYY slowed down Bomfunk MC's beat and scratching from a LL Cool J Remix.

4 - This is an oldie. I used some samples from other remixes I made and put them on a self made acapella.

5 - I get bored listening to this one. An acoustic drum loop made in fruity and a cinematic violin loop from a Kate Bush song, as you may have noticed, i got addicted to this loop and used it in almost every remix made in the time period.

6 - The remix I worked hardest on. I made the beat so long so I could fit in alot of scratching.

7 - This is another oldie. This one I made the day I bought the AOLTNYC 12".

8 - I don't know what all of y'all see in this mix. I personally hate it. Well, not hate it. It's just that I made it in a few minutes in acid by splitting the DJ Cheapshot mix into verses then laying a loop (H! VLTG3 by Linkin Park) over it.

9 - Another oldie. I like the way I made the start so that the Beasties and DMC both said "MMMYYY" at the same time.

10 - HAHA! This one is great! On Carmageddon II Apocolipse Now you can put the cd into the computer and play the songs on iTunes! I ripped this instrumental right away and got to work! I made it originally with the voices at the original pitch but it sounded out of tune so I put up the pitch by 2 semitones.

11 - Yeah this one was easy to make. I used an Instrumental (Xzibit - Paparazzi) and 2 pellas (3 The Hard Way and Xzibit - Paparazzi).

oh man before i even heard it i dj zapped it into my mp3 player. i had a half hour walk with it and listened to it loud. Some very good mixes on there. It's too bad that their voices were a little high pitched for pas the mic but fuck it, it was still awesome. that moist/exibit/bboys mix was off the hook. that sounded great. overall I was stoked.
Actually the only gripe I had was at the end of pass the mic when they say You like the feel of the bass in your face in the crowd, I thought you would kick in the full flavor again but it kinda faded out then. but what do I know? this is one album I won't be deleting from my player! cheers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
