Are there lyrics that are stuck in your head--like when your mind
wanders, do you find that particular lyrics are first in your thoughts
or that you have a tendency to hum the accompanying music?
For me and right now, it's something from Do It.
It's not like the lyrics are meaningful to me, but they're in my head
and they've been stuck in there for several days:
'Well, I'm A Six Point Seven On The Richter Scale'.
I'll be walking down the street, thinking of nothing in particular and
then those lyrics will be in my head. Various lyrics over the years have
been stuck in there--this richter scale line is just the current one.

The sports tonight theme, New Order's 60 miles an hour.
"I'll be there for you when you want me to, I'll stand by your side like I always do, In the dead of night it'll be alriiiight, cos I'll be there for you when you want me to"
:) At least its not "this shit is bananas" like it was a week ago

"jessie is a friend yeah i know he's been a good friend of mine
but lately something's changed and it aint hard to define
jessie's got himself a girl and i wanna make her mine
and she's watching him with those eyes
and she's loving him with that body i just know it
and he's holding her in his arms late late at night
you know i wish that i had jessie's

Not right now. Right now I've got a classic Simpson's quote in my head.
Mr. Burns: Mmm...hmm...what? How dare you disturb me during nap time.
Agent 1: We're from the Nuclear Regulatory Commission. This is a surprise test of worker competence.
Mr. Burns: There must be some mistake. We, er, we make cookies here: Mr.
Burns' Olde-Fashioned Good-Time Extra-Chewy --
Agent 2: [to Agent 3] Get the axe.

For me it's usually songs that I don't willingly listen to...like I'll be in a store and hear that Kelly Clarkson song and the next thing I know "Since you've been gone" is stuck in there for like three days....so frustrating (n)

And most of the times when I log in to this place I get a little bit of the "geng geng geng geng geng" in my head because of the Remember Me.

geeezeeee....i was gonna add in here that the weirdest thing that happens to me is when i wake up and for some reason there is a song in my head, i guess it must have been in my dream, and it carries over when i wake up. yesterday morning as soon as i got out of bed 'since you've been gone' was stuck there nearly all day :( i think its especially strange when its a song i havent listened to recently.

"mahumba, mahumba, bideeeeee-oooooooh" (x a gabillion)
This only makes sense if you have the rock profile DVD.
If you havent got it: It's Gary Barlows new song. With Bongo's.

the words that we drive into the ground
their repitition starts to thin their meaning
finally
there is clarity
this tiny life is making sense
but every night
ends the same as i'm
collapsing once more by your side
finally there is clarity
and there is purpose after all
and every drop numbs the both of us
but i alone am staggering

Listen close, and listen hard
The tale of Violet Beauregarde
This little girl she sees no wrong
In chewing, chewing, chewing, chewing, chewing, chewing all day long
Chewing, chewing all day long
Chewing, chewing all day long
Chewing, chewing all day long
She goes on chewing till at last
Her chewing muscles grow so fast
And from her face her giant chin
Sticks out just like a violin
Chewing, chewing all day long
Chewing, chewing all day long
Chewing, chewing all day long
For years and years she chews away
Her jaws get stronger every day
And with one great tremendous chew
They bite the poor girl's tongue in two
And that is why we try so hard
To save Miss Violet Beauregarde
Chewing, chewing all day long
Chewing, chewing all day long
Chewing, chewing all day long.
