When I've seen Mix Master Mike live he's blown me away but his CD sucked ass. What's the deal?

I kinda agree with that. I bought it basically so I had something to add to my B-Boy collection. I kinda expected what I got though. A shit loada samples over top a continuous drum beat. I guess it's nice to hear him put his bit in here and there on Beastie records, but just like any other DJ, I don't think I'd wanna hear him hold down a whole record. No doubt he's talented though.

hmmmmm, I've got Bangzilla but I've only given it one listen. I'll listen to it tonight.

I've downloaded tons of his shit from the hub and have loved most of it.
Try some other stuff.

Excellent CD, but completely diff to MMM too. I thought Bangzilla was good.

Yeah it's certainly different, but MMM shouldlook into it. The samples flow really well throughout the whole thing, sometimes with mix master mike's stuff it doesn't sem to work. Still, Howlett cites MMM as an inspiration...plus he takes the Beasties shows to a whole new level ao I'll always be a fan (y)
