How come every time someone is about to get their ride pimped and Exzibit is on their porch they answer the door? Never their mom, or anyone else. The pimpee answers, always.

What about this Bam character? "Hey Phil we're going to New Orleans!" Then he acts all surprised and says "We can't go to New Orleans!". Then a donkey walks in the room and the mom screams and everybody gets excited.
I just don't buy it.

I like the way that the Pimpees already have a microphone sticking out from the back of their jeans when they answer the door.

They're always so well prepared.

What about the production quality for the little clip of them asking "MTV, will you please pimp my ride?"

the magic of editing...

btw what the fuck was up with that speaker in the last episode? that kid is gonna go deaf and now he doesn't have a back seat...

bam, well that's something else all together. i'm suprised mtv hasn't gotten tired of footing the bill on a lot of the shit he pulls. *sidenote time* seems phil and ape got their own place again from a recent interview piece.

I think that was the intial pitch they gave the producers before the show even started. "So, imagine this..."

MTV now is just a load of shit, I remember years ago they used to play videos! I'm not kidding MTV used to stand for Music TeleVision for all of you youngsters out there. Can you believe that? Videos 24/7? Not just 2 hours a week then entire weekends of real world or that Orange County fake ass reality shit. Real videos!!

How can anyone say they want to Pimp their Ride?

Do they want cash paying customers to fuck it up the exhaust?

I think that was the intial pitch they gave the producers before the show even started. "So, imagine this..."

Some bloated fuck probably got a company car for thinking that shit.

It's crazy that these stupid ideas become what passes as entertainment for us piggies.

At the moment there's an ad on T.V which features old Italian Mamas sing about frozen Lasagne to the tune of Macarena. I can imagine the boardroom went bonkers when somebody said :
"Hey, lets get a bunch of old ladies to do the macarena over our lasagne."
And the board being all:
"My God, Johnson does it again!!!"

I'd propose a line of mild chilli sauces promoted to the tune of Motley Crue's 'Wild Side', or the Lou Reed one.

'Take a walk on the Mild Side.'

Or par-baked rolls: 'Happiness is a warm bun.'

Kid, you're a marketing genius. Do you work in advertising? :p

Often the commercials ruin otherwise good songs because then you can't hear Cream's I Feel Free without thinking of a volkswagon or whatever they used that song for. Did these songs ever signify something more profound than a dinner sidedish or a car? Are "rock" and "freedom" and "rebellion" just products or marketing schemes to sell the music which is a product, to sell the musician who is just a franchise? Is it any lesser to buy an Ipod than it is to buy the idea of modern rock? How can you now separate art from money and the goal of selling things and selling people?

What would happen if someone 'pimped my ride'?

If MTV is an abbreviation of Music Television, shouldn't they actually qualify that by playing music.

Shouldn't it be called the Lives of the Rich and Tasteless Channel?

It's now just a vehicle for greed and consumerism - cars, cribs and the obscenely titled 'The Fabulous Life of....' programmes. All designed to make us crave bling.

King PSYZ

'The Fabulous Life of....' = VH1
