well...its always gonna be hard to follow in the footsteps of the office but it isnt too bad [based on episodes 1 and 2]. ben stiller is even kinda good in his appearance.

extras is the the new show by ricky gervais and stephen merchant [the dudes who created 'the office']. it's a show about extras.

The episode with Kate Winslet was so good. Her dressed as a nun giving advice on phone sex: "Ï'm fudding myself senseless and I'm bloody loving it!" "eh... fudding?"
It's a great show, but Ricky Gervais' character is pretty David Brent-ish.
He still does stupidly embarrassing stuff, (Going to a bible group to impress a girl and then stating that heaven is a load of bollocks...) but he's less full of himself, which is good.

It'd be hard for Gervais' new character ( I don't even know his name- how observant am I?) not to be similar to Brent.

It's like watching Patrick Stewart in anything other than Star Trek and trying to convince yourself that he isn't a spaceship captain. It isn't humanly possible.

I kinda like extras. But it's the office in disguise. If extras came before office, it would be better. A bit like if Futurama came before Simpons, Futurama would be better than simpsons. Not that extras is better than The Office but it's too much in the shadow.

I know what I mean anyway and that is all that matters :mad:

I quite liked the episode with Ross Kemp...

"You know was SAS stands for, right?"

I liked that one too;

"I look in the mirror, one's bending over, the other two are kissing. I see everything of course..."

i think its very good. its unfair to compare it to the office though, which alot of people are doing, judge it on its own merits.

its like when chris morris came out with "nathan barley", which i thought was excellent, but everyone compared it to his earlier stuff and slated it...
