What are some bands whose music you enjoy yet the majority of the audience is composed of a bunch of idiots (whether it's weirdos at their concerts or you just meet people who are into the music yet just rub you the wrong way).

For me, that band would be Green Day. I enjoy their stuff, yet I'd NEVER want to be in a room full of GD fans. Too many goddam idiotic 14 year olds. Remember when every second thread in this forum was a "OMG Billy Joe from Green Day is sooooo hot" around the time of "American Idiot"? Yeah, I'd hate being around them too. :rolleyes:

this is the one reason I sometimes wish I didn't like Incubus as much as I do.

at their shows, it's always high schoolers dressed all faux goth and shit.

YES!! I've seen them three times and at two of those shows I've almost gotten in fights with dumb skanks trying to flash Brandon. Or drunk frat boys who wouldn't mind seeing one of the not so cute (ie. clothed) girls being crushed by the crowd, because the girl in question had to grab onto his shity Abercrombie shirt to keep from falling. :mad:

Fuck, I hate Incubus fans.

I've never seen the faux goth kids though. It's always frat bros and Paris Hilton wannabes.

Slipknot, most punk bands like NOFX. I enjoy listening to Slipknot and I'd consider myself a "fan" of NOFX but the amount of 13 year olds that go to the concerts is unreal.

Fat Mike (singer/bass player) once yelled into the mic:

Who here is under 15?

(a large part of the audience started yelling and waving their arms)

GO AWAY! NOFX is for over 21 only!

What an excellent thread, cause I was thinking about this at work.

I heard 'Antichrist Superstar' recently, and without the gimmick of Manson visually, thought it was a solid 80's throwback album.

But it had to have been ruined when I was a teenager by all of those boys and girls in dark make-up. Who earnt the money for that make-up by mowing the lawn, or cleaning the guttering. I thought the music was o.k, but the fans really ruined it for me.

I did have any problems, but some of my brothers friends that we were with almost got into multiple fights before getting thrown outta the stadium at the Nazareth concert I attended

i don't care what anyone has said to date, that band with all the douche bags in it....creed! they by far have the worst fans. they deserve every last one of those [ insert anything negative here ] fans.

some of rammsteins fans,like a very few are are skin head nazi's,and when i saw them in glasgow they where startig fights in the crowd and generaly being dicks :mad: ,but thats only the minority,most of there fans are desent people

I don't doubt Creed's fans suck. But the nature of this thread is bands whom you enjoy, yet the fans in general are terrible.

Not terrible bands with (inevitably) terrible fans.

I'd say that's true in certain US cities.


I didn't like the Beck fans on the last tour, and I didn't like the Moby fans on this tour. For both, there seemed to be a lot of tourists who came out to see someone they had heard about, but they didn't know any of the non-hits, and both of them played a lot of non-hits. I prefer young kids who are excited to be at a show to thirtysomethings pretending to be hip.

P.S. My best is 40. She's at every Green Day show. I think you would like her. ;)

one of the only reasons why i'm not goin to Gillete Stadium to see Green Day is for the stoopid little kids who only know American Idiot becuz its so popular and who think that billy Joe is hot.


yeah ok the first Green Day album i bought "new" is American Idiot. BUT I STARTED LIKING THEM LIKE 2 YEARS BEFORE THE ALBUM CAME OUT! so to some of u i might be one of those fans but i aint.
