The Black Keys

This band has revived my taste in modern rock bands. They're blues-rock style is very classic-sounding yet still has a modern rock edge..Right now I have Thickfreakness but am planning on expanding and getting their other two albums.

Thickfreakness is good, but I think Rubber Factory is better. As far as two member bands go, they're not as good as the White Sripes, but the drumming is a lot more impressive.

I used to think the Black Keys had the White Stripes beat when it came to that heavy blues rock thing, but after relistening to some older White Stripes I changed my opinion.

i got the rubber factory and i think this is the most excited i've been for a "new" band in a while. i tend to ignore anything new. i feel they are a lot better than the white stripes but i have limited experience with the bands. but with both bands i can't help but think how much better they would be with a bass and maybe another guitar. i will probably get tired of them somewhat quickly because of their simplicity.

I thought they sucked ass the two nights they opened for Radiohead. And I loved the White Stripes live.

got the chance to see the black keys live in detroit, they were awesome

they have a new album coming out next week called "magic potion"

my favorite album is either "the big come up" or "rubber factory"

"thickfreakness" is good too, it was recorded in a single day

The Black Keys also released an EP; the EP covers Junior Kimbrough's work and is called Chulahoma. It is excellent also. Their live dvd doesn't do them any justice and if you ever get the chance then definetly check out a live show.

it came out last tuesday. i got mine at best buy in Grove City, OH. they didn't have it on the shelf but i told them it had just came out and after about three ASSociates tried to locate it they finally pulled it from the back. they had two on hand and they were both in the back. don't let them pull this bullshit on you.
