These are real lyrics -- swear to garsh.

From Loudness' rekkid:

2. Like Hell

So many times, I've been lost
And blinded by the light
Caught up in a maze
Now I feel just like a wolf
Who forgot how to fight
And frozen by the haze
I was a hungry mean beast
I'll never be satisfied
Always looking for the next feast
Wailing for the next ride
* Like hell, I'm gonna do it like hell
Like hell, I'm gonna rock you like hell
Like hell, I'm comin' at you like hell
Like hell, I'm gonna shock you like hell
Just one more sip to ease my thirst
Another for the fire
That's all I need
The time has come to break the spell
Or give in to desire
There ain't no in between
No, I won't stay and take it
Get caught up, standing still
Looking for a day to shake it
Looking for the kill
[* Repeat]
No more hiding in the shadows
Runnin' from the light
No more cryin' when the wind blows
Howling at the night

I guess it depends on your definition of real. :)

I love/d them and have watched that dozens of times.

Loudness was a Japanese hair band that tried to cross over -- phonetically -- in the 80's.

"Fowt Wayne!!! Aw yow weady to wock!?!?!?" :D

I've got a friend and his amp goes to 11.

Tonight, walking through the Paradeplatz, I heard
a guy busking Dust in the Wind in German.

those songs were written by the actors who played the band members- Michael McKean, Christopher Guest, and Harry Shearer, mainly...

i use to hear "gimme some money" and i thought it was a real song... its just the antics of McKean and company.

thats why i love these guys, they take a genre and analyze the world in a mockumentary fashion... they write all the songs for each of these

waiting for guffman- community theater
best in show- dog shows
A Mighty Wind- folk singers

by the way, "Smell the Glove is here, Hello Janine..."

I confused the issue by mentioning Spinal Tap.

I just wanted to point out some really, really bad lyrics which transcend clichedom.

The band's name was (is?) Loudness.

More real than Steel Dragon (movie - Rock Star) in fact. They opened for Led Zeppelin and Motorhead you ought to know.

They wrote and played their own songs, so they're pretty real to me.
And their songs are better than those of most chart bands, so eh yeah...
they're real and they rule. And they've written a song about big asses, wich I am glad about as I have one.

Big Bottom, Big Bottom
Talk about Bum Cakes my girl's got 'em
Big Bottom drive me out of mind
How can I leave this behiiiiind....

Soundgarden covered it. They also covered Cheech and Chong's "Earache My Eye".

All I know about Spinal Tap is that they were on a hilarious episode of The Simpsons

Please sample "Crazy Nights" over at allmusic.com. You'll see.
