...but I rarely see it:
San Jose's biggest newspaper has a female lead sports writer.
Never thought about it until now, but that's kinda cool.

i dont know if its like that in the states but down here, in many countries, theres alot of sports tv shows (mainly football ones) that have female hosts (going solo or with men), its become almost totally accepted now...

there are a couple of female sports writers that work for boston newspapers. for the boston globe they have broads covering hockey and basketball.

serious though, shira springer who covers the NBA is one of my favorite basketball writers.
