How fast can you type?

Test it out here (http://www.typingtest.com/) but be honest. I'm just curious. Yes I know I'm a geek, but I think it's pretty fun you know, when you're bored. I can type 62 words a minute but I had 4 errors, so... :o

But it's because i'm not such a quick reader. When I type my own words I can type a lot quicker. No, honestly!

I used the tigers text first, but it gave me errors for every word, no matter how slow and accurate I typed. Then I tried the finland text and it worked, I got 44 with 2 errors. Might try again though cause i reckon i can do better than that.

edit- 63 with 1 error, now I feel better :p

i took a typing class in school when i was in grade 8 .. really helped.. and since then, having done countless essays and most of my homework on the cpu, i've only improved. I was around 60 wpm right after I finished the class - this is 6 years later

When I typed in English I got around 40-45 wpm, with one or two mistakes. When I wrote in Swedish or Finnish I got around 190 cpm, but more errors, the Swedish ones were in very old language (even tho that shouldn't matter when typing, you should be able to type in Hungarian when you know your keyboard), and I haven't been typing in Finnish in yonks so I kept confusing ö and o, ä and å. We had typing at school (you know, real typewriters) and I always enjoyed those excercises.

I've got 8 fingers and 2 thumbs and can only type with 2 of them - I hunt and peck em' pretty good though ! :p
