I've been trying to get my neightbour and my aunt together for quite a while now. I thought they were quite suitable for each other: they've been both married, have grown up children, been single for aaages, loud, enjoy dancing and music, a few drinks now and then. I got them both to come over to my birthday 18 months ago and they seemed to enjoy themselves, dancing in my living room. Since then my aunt has been visiting me more often than ever before, especially this summer. She wants to move and she's been looking for a flat around my area. Now my neighbour had his 60th birthday party last Saturday and it was quite fun, even tho it concentrated a bit too much on boozin. I could tell that my aunt wanted a bit more attention from the birthday boy, but he was quite busy trying to mingle with everyone.
Then my aunt came over again during the week (to watch a gardening show, because she doesn't have a telly anymore.... excuses excuses) and talked extremely loud when she left, hoping my neighbour would hear. Next day he came knocking my door (ringing my doorbell scares the cats) so I told him she'd been over. He was a bit sad he'd missed her, but then I told him to call her and he asked for her phone number. He knocked on my door again this morning, I don't think I've seen him so happy and excited for ages, that my aunt had just called him, they were supposed to go out tonight, but she has to babysit for her daughter and she was really sad she had to cancel their date today, but he said they had no rush, when they will go out they'll have a really good time and she'd said j'taime to him! You could see him glow!
