I've only heard Vats Of Urine but I'm going to pick it up when it comes out. (y) I know it's being released in association with Adult Swim, but does anyone, maybe someone who has DLed the whole album, know if there are any Home Movies samples on there? That'd make my day. Thanks.

Are you serious?
Shit howdy...feel free to pladgerize any or all of these.
So what was the key factor in bringing together the two of you on this record?
Is there anyone that you (MF Doom) has not yet colabed with that you'd like to?
Are you(Dangermouse) still feeling heat on the Grey Album?
How influential was williams street and Adult Swim in bringing this project to life?
Would you two consider touring in support of this project?

Quality, I'll def use some of those. I have NO IDEA what all this Swimfan stuff is though, I presume it's a show we don't get over here.
Keep 'em coming.

to be honest dangerdoom is weaker than i thought it would be. an above average to good album, but below doom standards.
doom comes correct for the most part.
and the beats arent bad but idk they dont really stand out to me, some are good, some eh.
but together i dont like the sound.
half of what makes MF so good is the mix of his out there beats (a sound that no one else comes close to mirroring) and his rhymes over it.
he had to go a bit more up tempo with some of the dangermouse beats, and just over all they (his beats) werent too spectacular. some shit id hear and forget.
doom beats you remember just because you never heard any other shit like it.
hopefully the doom produced lp with ghost will do them justice.

Definately ask them if there's any "Home Movies" clips on the record.

There's no 'Home Movies' clips on the album. At least not that I heard.

Anymore questions you think I should ask...?
JonKarson
09-30-2005, 07:54 PM
sure, ask em about upcoming albums... what they are each independently working on, and if they plan on teaming up again, ect... (if you can, ask Doom about the new KMD project and/or the new Viktor Vaughn album, i know i'd be pleased with info about that)
ask if there's any plans to bring a Doom cartoon show to adult swim after this collaboration... or at least a guest spot on Aqua Teen Hunger Force, or Space Ghost, or another adult swim show...
(probably wishful thinking at best)
hmm... ask if they have any clue as to why Schoolly D and mc chris are not on the DangerDoom album at all....
and if possible, ask for as much detail as to how they collaborated on this album...
for example... when i think of them making this album, i see em smokin madd budz while watching adult swim dvd's and then bouncin into the studio and laying tracks down... haha... maybe it's just me...
and that's all i could think of for now... thanks if you ask any of this....
peace..
how come the leaked version of sofa king has a different beat than the album version? any leftovers, b-sides coming up? acapellas?

picked this one up. quite dope so far. I haven't decided if the adult swim thing wears thing or not.
The Ghostface and Talib tracks are my fav's so far.
also, this is honestly my first encounter with MF Doom. His flow kind of annoys me sometimes. He's clever enough but his monotone voice and lack of inflection kind of gets on my nerves.
either way, I do like it.

I might get it now, that sounds promising.
Doom is one of my favourite M.C's(if not my favourite.). He kicks it so laid back, but makes you hit rewind when something clever creeps up on you.
edit:I had some of the leaked tracks, and liked what I heard.

Extra P just hasn't progressed. He's had his moments, though.
The rest, yeah, I suppose. But Guru? Nah.
It's always bothered me that Primo seems to have devoted most of his time to very mediocre talent: Group Home, Big Shug, Afu Ra etc. Not that Guru's bad, and I suppose they do have good chemistry, but Primo's worked with much better rappers (Nas, Jay, Brand Nubian etc) and proven how his beats are that much tighter in the hands of the right emcee.

Maybe its that the rap game has gone to shit lyrically...but he's one of the most skilled MCs out there these days. His sentance structure, rhyme schemes and vocabulary are more complex then a lot of people..to stay fresh and complex with all the verses he's droped in the last 4 years is amazing. I think he's only gotten better from his "cash or credit at sonoco" days.
I can't think of another MC these days who causes me to think and interpret like he does.

Ghostface. Only, he doesn't sound half asleep when he spits.

we're talking about Doom? O I was talking about John Cena.
He is quite the stoner though isn't he....maybe that's why i relate to flow.

Oh John Cena's sick. He's right up there with Kobe and Wyclef Jean. Small misunderstanding.
