word. I cannot tell you how many times a boyfriend/ex whatever has acted like a complete woman about certain things. I mean, I hate to even say they acted like a woman, but I say it to show them how off the wall they are being.
I don't even get bent out of shape about some of the things they whined about.

this is what really annoys me about women.
say there's this woman. and she's had the most perfect and pleasant day. then on the way home she get's cutoff. this simple little act has now ruined her whole day. HER WHOLE FUCKN' DAY. now she goes home all pissed of and shit and takes it out on her husband/boyfriend for the rest of the fuckn' night. and you can replace the act of getting cutoff with loads of other simple things. like being called a bitch at the fastfood drivethru window. or the jeans she's been dying to buy don't fit her when she tried them on. simple simple shit. why does this ruin a lot women's whole day? WHY?

I don't blame people for getting mad at me when I'm in a bad mood. I don't notice men or women being moreso moody. Everyone has bad moods sometimes, no point getting upset over them. I just leave people alone when they're grouchy. Man, growing up my mom used to drive us crazy with her bad moods. You never knew what to expect. And my dad would sometimes have these weird kicks of motivation where he'd storm into the room while we were watching TV, holding some random notebook he found, yellling at you for not doing your homework and you'd be like "Dad, I don't have any homework, it's August. That notebook is full of sketches I did last year in art class, it's not even assignments."
cosmo105
08-16-2005, 12:09 PM
^haha!
yeah, it's really best to leave people alone when they're pissed. sometimes when i'm mad about nothing in particular i need to go for a run or something by myself, and i just have to GO. i have to swear up and down to my boyfriend that it's not anything he did but i'm sure he worries heh :\ when i'm pissed, i don't want to be around ANYBODY, because that just makes me more irritated. it's weird. i don't want to be comforted or held or anything.

And the question in post #10 remain unanswered.
The thing we all need to remember when we have such moods (especially the ones described by Cosmo), where maybe you are just having a bad day, but it is not because of the people closest to you or the ones that have to suffer through your mood is that if you communicate that to others that you ARE in a bad mood and it has nothing to do with them, but you need to be left alone for a bit is the way to go... nasty moods, silence, throwing things, etc. over NOTHING that those closest to you have done does nothing, but bring them into the same sour mood as you...
I would say this is the biggest downfall of being involved with someone... the ease in which your day can be ruined simply by the one you love being a fuckin' asshole ...

When bitches get annoyed they shout at each other until they're crying and then don't talk to each other for a few months.
When guys get annoyed they punch each other in the face a few times, and the next day they're friends again.

i think its quite asshole-ish and hypocritical for women to demand that their man refrain from being 'moody.' i mean, what message is that telling our men when in the same breath we are asking for more communication, openess, blahblahblahbullshit, but when they do, its stepping on toes to much to handle their moods, that is only our territory? bs.

Well, yes and no. For me personally, I'm not saying mr.peachy shouldn't ever be moody, I was was just saying that when he does, he's a fucking champion at it. But I knew this when I married him, and accept that it is part of his nature. I know that some days, he is just determined to walk the earth with a black cloud following around over his head, even when the sun is shining.
But a man (for that matter, any person) who is moody is not the same as being communicative. Snarls and grunts are hardly demonstrations of 'openness'. If anything, it's that fact that often men AREN'T communicating openly what it is that is bothering that them causes the greater frustration.

i just disagree a little bit here. i think that showing your emotion (even snarling or grunting) is in a way being open and communicating how one is feeling. id rather that than have a man who pretended everything was peachy (wink :P) and felt he had to hide and supress his emotions. i know at least with me, when i am in a bad mood and had a bad day, i tend to grunt and snarl a little, but i always communicate that i had a bad day, it has nothing to do with him, soonandsoforth and he does the same.

I see where you're coming from. I'd certainly rather someone be angry/upset/whatever about something, than suppress it and be like 'no, everything's fine' when it isn't. But it's one thing to know that someone's in a mood, and another to understand what the problem is, if you see what I mean.
