isnt that fucked up???? although you had to see it coming, its surrounded by large chains and corps., rent has to be ridiculous beyond belief. That has to be the reason why its closing. people like to think Manhattan has a certain feel, vibe, and character to it but thats so not true. It was true a very long time ago, Manhattan is just starbucks and mcdonalds and GAPs, personally I really dont care but when people start talking about it being unique and having its own character and all that other shit it just isnt true.

yeah, i hadnt been down there in a while, and all of a sudden there is a Whole Foods and a Filenes... Union Square is full of corporate whores now- circuit city, virgin, so on and so forth...
