do you daydream?

i do. i often catch myself deep in a daydream, imaginary situations, wishful thoughts, completely impossible scenarios.

it's nice. sometimes sad, sometimes happy. but interesting. i often see my life as if it were a movie. i think about the soundtrack a lot.

All the time. I personally daydream about becoming rich and buying my own beer brewery plant. Creating my own brand of malt liquor thus called Snicker Malt Liquor. And having the Beastie Boys drinking and endorsing it in everyway ! That would be the most gratifying feeling in the world to me and is my ultimate dream/fantasy. (y)

i'm constantly framing and setting the soundtrack...i think we're all directors in some way. usually mine's an indie flick with lots of grain and high contrast and a really beautiful french/italian setting. sometimes i'm just framing a photo. usually, i'm thinking about what i want to happen that weekend.

Sometimes I think my whole life is a day dream. It's like I'm not even me anymore.

I am such an amazing person in my day dreamings, not to mention I get to talk to these fantastic imaginary people! It's really good. I escape from the world soo many times! I wish I didn't. I wish I could live my life in a more adequate way. It makes me happy and sad too sometimes. Impossible situations are kinda sad, but at the same time much better than reality because they can be perfect!!! AAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!

often times, imdaydreaming, which relaxes me so much, i actualy fall asleep. then i wakeup twenty minutes later and i try to figure out exactly when i went from daydreaming to regular dreaming.

i wonder how it is that we can daydream.. like what are the mechanisms involved in the brain for this process.


oh oh, i guess it would be good to ask... for your soundtrack, what's one song you HAVE to include? for me, i think it would need to be jeff buckley's lover, you should've come over. it's a song that i tend to go back upon. sappy, yes. but it's managed to help.

i haven't caught myself daydreaming in quite some time. likely because i've been so overloaded with work, which has spilled over into my nightmares.

twice this past week i've dreamed that people want to hurt me. in one i was leaving the courthouse and 3 guys started stabbing me, and in the other (which was last night) some guys wanted to steal my car and then i assumed they wanted to rape me in the bushes and when i wouldn't go over to them and bobby wouldn't let go of me, they put a gun to my head and cocked the hammer.

I have a very monotonous job that requires little creative thought, once you've done it so long it is embedded in your muscle memory. If I didn't daydream I would lose my mind. Most nights I am a million miles away from my job and that makes the time pass so much faster.
