bobby and i like to have jager bombs on tuesday. on saturdays after the kids have gone to bed, we have cocktails on the porch, with all the candles lit, incense burning and whatever music we're in the mood for playing in the background.

it's nice, and it's our thing. we can count on it.

what rituals / routines do you have?

Before every day I go to work, I kiss a picture of someone I care about. :o

Before my baseball games I used to put my left shoe on first, then tie it, then the same for my right. Same with hockey skates. Or anything. Left side first.

Aaaaaaaaaaaand when I visit my gramma's house I kiss my hand and slap the top of the doorway. Dork alert.

Every friday I go to my best friends house for some chillin. If we cant friday, we go Saturday insted. But every week. Every week.

Every Sunday I go to the pub down the street and order a Sam Adams hard cider with my roommate. If we decide to eat dinner there we'll split a chicken and chips plate, because those things are fuckin' huge! (appetizer my ass) Sometimes I'll order a Guiness or Newcastle, but it's almost always cider. It's gotten to the point where our waiter (and we have the same one every time) has memorised what we want. Brings us our second round automatically instead of asking us if we want another one! :D

Every Saturday, I take my mom out to lunch, take her shopping for stuff she needs, and then I do her bills and go through her weekly mail.

I always have coffee with friends on Sunday morning. It's a good way to prevent me from sleeping till noon.

this is like...one of the things life is supposed to be about. if you can manage to keep a weekly/monthly ritual in your life, its a good sign youve got a hold of things. i think keeping rituals requires a patience and dedication hard to keep these days thats usually reserved for work or other stressful situations...not for situations where the point is to let go. so...congratulations, you guys.

Nearly every sunday, my family and I eat brats, hot dogs, and hamburgers off the grill and drink beers and watch baseball or football together.

about twice a month my brother and his wife and matt and i go to my mom's house and bbq. sometimes my oldest brother joins us with his kids.

once a month we deep clean the apt. scrub every corner, vaccum every cranny, etc.

every day matt wakes me up before he goes to work to say goodbye. i usually say something really weird and am still half asleep.

Umm, well, now I only have one, I call Wayne every night at 12:30. When he was back home, we'd go out to Taco Bell after sex, and would have the sushi lunch-deal at least once a month.

I have a sheep dog named Ralph. And I fling my dog's shit across the fence into the neighbors yard with a shovel all the time. So that way - they get to step into it , instead of me ! One night I was so drunk that I pooped outside and flung it across - aiming for their front porch. Instead , it landed on top of the dudes SUV ! He drove around for over a week with MY shit right above his head - unknowingly , before he finally washed it off ! I'm such a nice neighbor. :)

-Whenever i used to eat fast food on the way home when i got to my driveway id throw the bag into my neighbors yard (he walks around outside at night wearing only underwear and he also feeds the woodland animals)

-When i put on shinguards i always have the fastener facing the inside of my leg.

-Every June 5th is shinoda day where my best freind and i make a time capsule of all the weird shit we did over the past year and then we hide it in her attic until the next shinoda day

-we also have fake birthdays. :confused:

Sunday I ordered a Newcastle instead of cider, and our waiter (same waiter as always, I love it) looked like he was going to go into shock. He said he was going to just put our usual order into the computer, but decided to check with us instead. It was pretty funny. :D

On the way home I walked face-first into a spider web. Not cool. (n) :mad:

On Friday nights Mr. JBernas and I take Ethan (our three year old) out for pizza. If the hubby is working, I make pizza for Ethan and make myself to some sort of fattening pasta (shrimp scampi or portabella mushroom ravioli with gorgonzola cream sauce). It's my treat for working out all week.

On Sundays we usually have a steak and enjoy a nice glass of red wine together. If it's nice, we sit outside on the back porch with tiki torches lit and listen to music and just talk.

Once a month I get together with the girls for dinner. I have been friends with all three for almost 25 years. We usually get together at one of our houses and cook, drink wine and chat. It's my turn next (this Friday)...should be fun.

After waking up, I always "land" my right feet on the floor. I hate superstitions though. I wish I had none.

I pray every morning before having breakfast.

Every Wednesday I eat a Tuna Sandwich of my favourite fast food.

I watch a movie (which is always a new movie on this channel) on Saturday at 21:00.
