Mike Shinoda (emcee of the band Linkin Park) is releasing a solo hip-hop project with some of his friends in the underground rap community and it is being released under the alias of "Fort Minor" with the album being titled "The Rising Tied" (www.fortminor.com).

Artists performing on this record are rumored to be Styles of Beyond, Common, Chali 2na, Kenna, John Legend, Lupe Fiasco, Black Thought of The Roots, Holly Brook as well as many more.

Mike (as said in the lyrics on the song) played every instrument on the album and made all the beats himself.

I do admit its not the best it could be (8/10 is my grade) but usually singles are never as great as the rest of the tracks on the CD.

It's still good though, great because of the fact that they dont rap about stereotypical shit (hoes, money, nice cars etc.) the song is all about making music and ignorning the celebrity status.

I'd give it a 7/10. I really don't like Linkin Park but I thought the rap from In the End was pretty quality. This song, the beat is pretty cool if a bit repetitive, the lyrics are pretty cool if a bit pretentious and self-absorbed.
