California's car emissions restrictions are to be implemented throughout the coast. I feel that is definately a good move in the right direction! Nice move by the Oregon governer too (see article).

there are some east coast states joinning in to try an pressure the mid and southern states to do the same, but that'll be a tough feat ... one can always hope!

Most of the new Toyotas sold throughout the US meet California emmissions standards.
Ever wonder why the federal gov't gives a tax deduction for people who own a 6,001 gvwr vehicle?I heard that there's some sort of loophole which allows you to classify a Hummer or similar size as a Commercial vehicle and get a tax rebate, of sorts.
