Yeah, this is quite old! I heard about this just before the album, TT5B's was released!!!! here in the UK are fine from those cd's but in the states it was a nightmare!

i live in canada and had no problem listening to tt5b on my pc so i think that spyware thing was BS

It's just stupid. I live in Australia and nothing got installed on my computer without my permission, the only thing it wanted to install was a player, and I had not trouble at all making a back up copy

yeah, i remember they had a thing about it on triple j, with heaps of folks complaining (they even had quotes from this message board)
they eventually proved that it didn't have spyware, i believe.

Yeah, I remember the hullaballoo surrounding this, back when TT5B was released. I, too, had no problems with the CD, and wondered what the fuss was all about... but then again, I have a Mac... this article (http://www.theregister.co.uk/2004/08/16/beastie_boys_not_viral/) I just happened to find substantiates this, and explains the whole situation a little better.
