the one song i dislike on that album is 3 minute rule.

i rememeber when listening to pb, the first track which really grabbed my attention was eggman, not only are the raps tight, but they are also really funny. however, the main thing about that song which grabbed my attention is the music, the prodcution on that track is amazing. it was only right at the end of the song where all the different samples come together that i realised it was the psycho theme and it was only after several more listens that i realised that there are potions of the theme running through out the entire track (i bet there are a few people reading this who still havent noticed that, its true though, listen to the verses). the chorus with mca saying 'up on the roof, of my car, up all night, im going through science like dolemite' along with that sly and the family stone beat and the psycho tune is great too, its really atmospheric and dark and sends shivers down your spine when you listen to it on a walkman.

the 'chorus' (if you can call it that) with the synth stolen from the car wash soundtrack and used in shake your rump is amazing aswell, that was so fresh, to have an old school (but sounding very modern in the way its used) synth piece used in a wordless chorus for the main single of your new album. takes balls to pull off something like that. takes talent to get away with it.

when i started listening to the sounds of science i thought 'eugh this track sucks' but i was amazed when it fully kicked in. thats another one of the suprises PB pulls.

car theft is amazing in the sense taht its one of the most trippy songs ive heard. ive never used any drugs before but i imagine that song would be crazy on acid or something. you really get the feeling of being in a drug induced trance whilst listening to that song, especailly near the end with all the high pitched female vocals.

shadrack has to be one of the most 'get off your ass and shake!' songs the beasties have done, fair enough the whole track is sampled from a sly and stone track, but it still rocks, and the ending of that song is fooking great. i love the way all the sounds gradually leave the track untill your left with just the female vocals and then BAMMM!!!! theres the funk drummer sample!

I'm sure Pooty knows what it is, he's just spelling it out the way you first hear it. Before it dawns on you. Which is the way the whole album is. The older you get and the way your interest in music widens, you understand the album better, even if you don't always recognise the samples.

My fav for the record is Shadrach. Sometimes I think it may be Car Thief, but I always go back to Shadcrack at the end o' the day. What a song. What an album!
