What phone should I get?

I know theres probably another thread like this somewhere, but with technology continually getting better I figure the old one will be out of date soon.

Okay so I want suggestions on mobile phones. I either want one that is a flip phone ala nokia 7270, or a pda/mobile combo like an O2. I can't decide on one, and I really need a new one seeing as my Nokia 3310 is totally buggered after barely surviving the QOSTA mosh pit (fell out of my pocket) and numerous other smashings. The battery dies after talking on the phone for 30 seconds, no matter how charged. Anyway, 3G, not 3G, I dont really care although I would prefer a camera phone.

get nokia if you want quality, get sony ericsson if you want good cameras n sound n media n shit, get samsung if you want all the new cool modern features for a low price but with a sucky quality, get motorola if you want something american, get lg if you wanna get ripped off.

All I can say is if you're going to go with 3G, wait a little bit as Telstra, Vodafone and Optus will have 3G offerings out soon to compete with Hutchison's "3" service. I think there'll be much better 3G handsets on the market pretty soon as a result.

I have the Nokia 6230, it's my baby. The picture quality is good and sound and, well, it's a Nokia!

The model is pretty old now, but I'm happy with it and there's bound to be better. (y)

I'm considering a sony ericsson w800i.

Walkman branded so comes with a decent mp3 player and it has a built in camera that is comparable to my digi cam.

It's UGLY though... but hey...

i only got this lg 8138 cause it was cheap, a guy at work won it in a triple m competition. So far it's been a bit annoying, sometimes it's the phone's fault, sometimes it's the providers...

3 - can't access full internet on prepaid

phone - can't load games on without special software that's a bit dodgy AND you have to buy the software. i couldn't find a hacked version to work with my phone. it was only $7 but still annoying. there's a hacked version that works with 8110's

phone & 3 - sometimes the website you can access doesn't work quite right, and it's probably the phone's fault because it scrolls right to the bottom rather than in increments. but then again, 3 should be aware of this and adjust the site accordingly, imo... i could always ring them and talk to some indian about it, but meh i don't really want they're "we'll tell you what you want to access" internet anyway... will probably change providers eventually

Aside from that, it's a phone and it works, but i reckon there are better ones around.

I have one and it plays "rake" where you have to guide the ever growing rake around the screen collecting grass. If you touch your handle you lose.

I also downloaded the "retarted Toad" ringtone. Highly annoying.

anyway tzar sum of the 3's are not bricks..and im telling u rancid even when voda phone and optus iring out there 3g's (not telstra coz they already own half of three) they will cost a lot more...three is cheap becoz its almost broke and a new company still..they will get more expensive by the year...and you cant even get my cheap deal anymore but the ones u can get are prety good.....i have got the lg8120 and it delivers...nokias-overpriced sony erricson-quility but wif a price tag...-siemens cheap but crap most of em anyway....lgs-quililty and cheap if you go with 3...

i've never heard either version for any more than the 3 seconds it takes me to find the tv remote and get the ad off there (!) the games are pretty weak, i've probably spent the most time playing video poker

Ill never buy anything other than a nokia. the one time i strayed i got a motorola, aka piece of shit.
nokia's are easy to use and reliable.
