i hate to be the sourpuss, but that article was back in May, and there is a schedule already up for the benefit concerts...


meanwhile, CBGB's lease expires in 4 days.

if they are going to play, it is going to be a surprise show in the next four days.

i hate to say it, and I am no expert, but I dont think the Beastie Boys can save CBGB's now...

i saw something on MTV about the landlord wanting to get rid of CBGBs. I know the Beastie Boys played there in their punk days, so most likely, they probably will have some kind of participation in saving it. im not saying specificly a performance there, but maybe a fundraiser or even a donation. But it would be cool if they performed!!! And i do hope they dont get rid of cbgbs. (!) (y) :cool:

a. they are still in limbo and not sure what their status is
b. the beastie boys are NOT scheduled to perform...
