i didn't really do it on purpose, i just somehow got a life for a while there, and realized the other day that i hadn't signed in here for a couple months. i haven't looked around much yet, but it seems to be almost exactly the way i left it.

and in case any of you were curious about what happened since i've been gone:

1: me and that music boy best friend of mine are going out now.
2: i got a 2nd job (waitress at a coffee shop) and quit the first one (theater)

4: me, the boy, and a good friend of ours are getting a house together.

for those of you who asked about the wreck.. i'm lazy. how about some livejournal copy and pasting up in this bitch--



ryan just got home from iraq so me and robbie were going to meet up with him at robbie's house, but i had to work that night, so i dropped him off at home and went home to throw my work clothes in the dryer since i had to be to work at 5:30pm.

halfway during my one-minute drive between my house and robbie's, a van hit me in my driver's side door, and sent my car flying.. sideways.. 57 feet away.. where i completely leveled a street sign and came to a stop.

i remember a few things, with lots of little blackouts inbetween.
since i was looking to my left, my head broke through the driver's door window.. so i had 14 stitches in my forehead and the right side of my face and neck were pretty bruised and burned from the airbag. i couldn't walk at all for a couple days, but i can now.

they said the guy had to be driving at LEAST 50mph to send me that far and do that much damage.

it was in a subdivision.
the speed limit there is 25.

neither of us even got a ticket yet. it's really complicated. see, there was a stop sign. and i should have stopped at it. and I DID. but.. well.. there's a tree branch.. basically 1/2 of a tree that's hanging in front of it and you can't see the sign AT ALL. well i slammed on my brakes and stopped completely, but i was out in the intersection a little bit. i saw the van coming to my left, but i knew i totally had enough time to make it since he was wicked far away and the speed limit there is only 25.. so i went.. and he sped up like crazy and slammed into me.

because he was speeding, ADMITTED that he was not paying attention and didn't even see me, and the stop sign can't be seen at all until you're right next to it, they are now having the state police come in to investigate it.

ugh.



oh yeah. and one of the plusses about robbie-- he loves taco bell more than i do. going out to eat for us costs about $3...

Wow, that really sucks Melanie. A few years back, when I was first with Wayne, I had him drive to my friend's house with me. Same situation, big ole tree branch in front of the stop sign, and he just flew right through it. No one was on the road, which was miraculous since it's usually pretty busy. I still flipped out though.

or just buy a push bike and ride that to work, and catch public transport to class...
