Since we're all crazy insane about "popularity threads," I'm actually kind of surprised I haven't run across this type of thread.

So yeah, what members seem to be exalted as high and mighty and board gods and all that... BUT you just fail to see their allure. Maybe you missed out on key "board history" events, but nevertheless, you just don't get it.

Sad as it is, I think this thread will end up having everyone list Echewta. :p

Even sadder, I cast my vote for Echewta. Don't get me wrong, he's a nutty character, but I think he's become the exalted one the same way Bush became President... rigged voting (damn Diebold machines), and I'm pretty sure people were bought off. ;)

As my runner-up, I may have to go with Notorious LOL. Maybe I missed some threads or whatever, but I fail to see it.

So who do you find overrated?

I dont think anyone in particular is overrated.


However, I think Echewta has a legend status that I've yet to see lived up to.

well...first I think I need to see the data on this one. first you have to rate all the members. then you can assess, based on who has the highest ratings, who is the most overrated.


but once again, and I know alot of people are gonna over look this one: I am the most over-rated board member.

it's all about me.

I think I'm just an average guy that people can get along with easily. I don't set myself up to be the best at anything on this board or the worst. I think because I have the time to post alot and that I rarely get into it with people seems to create the mystery about me or something. When people say I'm mysterious, it always baffles me because I tend to open up way too much on this board. I don't know.

And along the subject line, I don't see anyone as being over or under.

Some members have reputation and recognition. Just look at ANY of these popularity threads (past or present) and there will be some names listed a lot more than others.

This thread is supposed to ask the question: "Do YOU think all those names are worth the hype?"

at first i was pretty critical about m. clarke.
i thought he'd be a pretty boy and do really shit in his test career, but he has done really good.

vBulletin has a "Karma" feature in which you can assign points to people that have been helpful, funny or whatever.

It hasn't been activated on this board and I hope it never will :)

Paul Adams action was totally fucked. I always liked Bevan's action, especially when he bowled pies at the bowlers head.

My favourite bowling action was easily Jeff Thompson. That is easily the scariest action, you just know he could easily knock you out even with a helmet on.
