I have a thing for the orchestral/violin driven beats. Oh well:

7L & Esoteric - 7L - Murder Death Kill
7LES 7L - Rise of the Rebel
Buck 65 - Sleep Apnoea (Though I don't know if it's fair to say this is really his beat, it's just Amon Duul's 'Kismet' slowed down with some ambient sounds around it. Oh well, I like the loop.)
Buck 65 - Wicked and Weird
Non Phixion - Necro (I assume) - 5 Boros
Non Phixion - Cestyle - Legacy
Non Phixion - Necro (I would guess) 14 Years of Rap
Company Flow - El Producto - Silence
Edan - Key-Bored
Edan - Making Planets (The second beat, the one Lif raps over)
Jedi Mind Tricks - Stoupe - Animal Rap
Deltron 3030 - Dan the Automator - 3030
DJ Format - Vicious Battle Raps
Beastie Boys - Stand Together (Once the guitar comes in)
Beastie Boys - A Year and a Day (Again, it's the guitar loop)
And I feel the need to add a Wu-Tang clan beat. Uzi or CREAM or something like that. Take your pick.

And basically everything from Non Phixion/Necro, CoFlow/El-P, JMT/Stoupe, 7L, Buck 65, Edan and the Beastie Boys is well produced.

which version of animal rap? one is exceedingly gay with violins, one is exceedingly cool with a girl singing.

I like the violins one.

I thought the girl singing one was quite gay, even though everyone seems to jock it.

It's hella mediocre.

I'll give it another listen.

Just as I suspected.

The actual vocal sample is quite good, I must admit, but the backing beat is kind of weak.

It wasn't good or anything, but it didn't suck ass either. It's still their weakest album, though, I think. No wait, that would be Juvenile Hell, I guess.

ive seen "hip-hop" by dead prez attributed to kanye a couple of times....but i've never believed it.

dave790
08-31-2005, 11:48 AM
it's not...at least i don't think so.

it certainly doesn't sound like a kanye beat...i know the guy tries different things but there's a recognisable quality to most of his beats...hip hop is somewhere else!

I'm taking it you two have had disagreements in the past or something? Cos that's a bit of a harsh response, seems more of a reference to the same name that a joke, pretty harmless if you ask me.

Then again, no one did, so I apologise for interfering. Some decent lists about either way.

Sorry for the harshness. I was still pretty medicated up.

And my real name is adam, and my last name begins with f, and I just added the underscore for flashiness. I didn't even know he was a producer until roosta told me.
